Will you get/play Diablo III?

I swore off PC games years ago. I tired of the constant upgrading and IRQ and other conflicts just to get a game up and running. I recently picked up Age of Empires III and tried to play it but never got into it like I did games like Warcraft, Starcraft, Civilization, Diablo (I and II) and others. Perhaps my couch is more comfy than my PC chair these days or the audio setup attached to my consoles is better or something but I can't get back into PC gaming. Or can I?

I played Diablo I and II for what seems like years. My buddies and I co-op'd around in the Diablo Universe for hours and hours at a time. Blizzard recently announced that they are working on Diablo III. Oh man it sounds awesome - built around co-op play with loads of game time and hack-n-slash fun I am sure I'll be severely tempted to buy and play the heck out of it.



I know we have a much higher percentage of console owners here, but how many of us got our start on a PC? I know there are more than a few who did and perhaps even more so who played Diablo for hours at a time like me. So the big question is... will you buy Diablo III?

I don't plan on buying it. I never got into on the PC. The last time I did the majority of gaming on a PC was back in '99 before I got a Dreamcast. My console gaming during that time was playing on my friends consoles--PS1 and N64.

As temped as I would be I think my PC gaming years are past for the most part.

I can't believe that I'm the only one excited for this game. It is going to be a huge seller. The great thing is that Blizzard never puts out a bad game and I can't imagine this one being the exception.

Never been a fan of the Diablo series. I think it is the top-down viewing style that doesn't appeal to me also. PC gaming for me is almost nothing now since the 360 and PS3 have been in my family room. I agree Peench, perhaps the couch is a little more comfy than the chair in front of my computer!

If Diablo 3 comes out for the 360 or ps3 I'll definitely buy it. I lost many hours of my life playing Diablo on my ps1.

I may actually upgrade for this. Diablo and Diablo II ate up literal months of my life.

This will be a game I go back to the PC for. I'm with DLitch, I played #1 and #2 for months and months on end.

Same here. Loved Diablo II, but I can't see myself doing the PC gaming thing anymore. Too many distractions during the work day as it is.

If it's available on the 360 though, and co-op, I'd jump on it.

I now have a PC that can handle games, but I won't do it. I'd rather play on my 360.

where the 'maybe' option? im kind of up in the air about it, everytime i go back to pc i remember why i left it. my reasons arent so much because of the seating (my 'desk' chair is a loveseat lol) mainly because of the controller vs keyboard. i dont like controlling games with a keyboard anymore, i just cant do it!

I loved the series and can imagine how awesome it would be to play it again but updated! I do get much more fatigued using a mouse now though so not sure I would actually be able to play it if I got it for hours on end like I used to.

Since it probably won't be out until 2012, who knows?

I doubt I'll get it unless I have friends to play it with. I mean, it's essentially WoW with an isometric layout.
