PreGameLobby Turns 1; Thousands swarm the streets in their PGL thongs!

Not sure if I would want to see that display, but it sure would be funny! September 18, 2007, marks PGL's first birthday. We've come a long way and we have a long way to go. Thankfully with the help of all of the awesome members we have here, we'll get there!

Here's a short recap of what we've seen over the last year and the ideas we're kicking around for the future. While we're all at the helm, we'd like to know what you have liked over the prior year and what you haven't liked. Make your opinion known!

Changes we've seen:

1. Changed hosts a couple of months in because we had down time almost every day with our prior host

2. Added new moderators and editors

3. Over 1000 members and still going strong

4. TOS has changed a few times to evolve with the community and ensure we can carry out our vision

5. Adopted age restriction

Changes we're considering:

1. Dedicated hosting. At a minimum of $150 a month it ain't cheap, but we think it will be worth it. We're looking at support from members as well as advertisers and sponsors to make it happen.

2. FNFF recording. It might be possible to review the highlight reel the following week. It requires some equipment and time, but we're hoping we can make it a reality.

3. Podcast. We're uniquely suited to discuss gaming issues from a multi-platform standpoint. We've kicked around some ideas but haven't solidified anything yet.

4. More tourneys. PGL tourneys are always fun so we're looking at bringing more of them to the community. We're also discussing the possibility of tourneys with entry fees where kick ass prizes could be won.

5. Whatever else might come up. Who knows what lies in store for PGL in the upcoming years. Since I sold my crystal ball at a garage sale in 1980 so I could have more money for the arcade I have had a hard time figuring out what is in store. We're a community and that's what makes us special. What ideas do you all think we should be considering?

Thank you to each and every one of our members for making PreGameLobby the wonderful place that it has become in its first year in the interwebs. Feel free to comment on changes we've made or changes we're considering. I know we'd all like to hear feedback from the community to give us an idea of the direction in which we should be focusing our efforts.

All i got to say is this will make things a little Uglier, and definitaly more unpleasent while gaming. you will have people trying to cheat, or getting mad and bitchy and the mood as a whole will be a less for fun. you could give a PGL shirt, sweater, hoodie, or item away for the winner, that way it will be fun plus you can always get a little Advertisement out of it. Just my Input...

Well, I'm glad to have been here from the start after our move from the place that was run by 'He Who Cannot Be Named'. I'm very happy to know the most of you, well, I guess almost all of you. This is the only place in life I can get into it with MadBryan, and have him ship off his 360 to me to borrow a couple months later. This is one of the few places I can come and vent, too, or maybe get some advice. This is the one place where I can make a friend like Angelo that'll actually send me messages on Live to ask how I'm doing, and not just ask for nudes. This a great community, wether you like me or not, and I'll continue doing the little bit of work in the Sony section to keep you informed. Like I've said several times before, I'm glad to call a lot of you friends. Congrats- Wonder, Peench, Rhino, Dave (and whomever else I'm missing)- you've made it worth my while to spend 1-3 hours here a day.

I too was a product of the old site, and I'll have to say, this has grown to be 10 times better. I may not get to spend all the time I used to be able to on here, but when I do, I'm guaranteed to see useful, up-to-date info, and to get a laugh. This place is awesome! The founders and staff here all deserve a great deal of thanks, so thanks!
