We want to personally thank each and every one of our members for making PreGameLobby such a great place to hang out and chat about gaming, movies, TV shows and pretty much anything else that tickles our fancy. We've grown a bit since we opened our doors last October and with growth often comes change.
We like to think that we have maintained our core belief of "gaming to have fun" and of fostering a place where mature gamers can game without fear of a pre-pubescent tirade. I personally think we're still there and that we can continue to grow in this area. There are many gamers out there who simply want to have fun and we have to continue to make PreGameLobby their haven.
We've taken many comments into account in trying to determine how to best grow PGL while maintaining what makes us special. We have hired think tanks and discussed ad nauseum the best manner of achieving all of our dreams. We've hashed out various scenarios and believe we have a solution that will bring us to our ultimate goals.
In order to get to our end goal we will face many challenges. We would like to enlist the help of all of our members in overcoming these challenges.
Our first order of business will be to design the look of PreGameLobby from scratch and make it our own. We are currently using a premade skin for Vbulletin. While we all know and love it, it is not "our own." This will entail hiring a designer and programmer to make an entirely new vbulletin design for PreGameLobby. We have someone in mind and will be hiring him shortly.
We are also working on designing T-Shirts and other items for people to wear and enjoy while also advertising for PreGameLobby. We also have loads of other goodies and giveaways in store for PreGameLobby members.
In order to accomplish all of this, however, we will need to generate some revenue. To make all of of our dreams possible we will institute a new posting policy beginning tomorrow. Every post you make will be tracked by the number of words you post. We will be charging everyone $0.01 per word for every word they post on the forums. We will track these for a month and on the first of every month will send out an invoice to all members. Members will be expected to pay the invoice by the 5th of the month or face suspension of their posting privileges.
For all great things comes sacrifice. In this instance the sacrifice will be in attempting to respond to the great questions and information we have here at PreGameLobby in the most concise manner possible. Alternatively, if you wish to provide even more support for PGL, feel free to be as verbose as possible in your posts. The more words you type, the more funds we can generate! With these funds we can hire additional help, create additional programs and incentive for PGL Members and overall make this place the greatest place on the internet for mature gamers to hang out and enjoy each other's company and to coordinate games with a mature audience.
