Penguin United joins up with PGL!

It stands to reason that every lobby needs its sundry stores and boutiques. Lately our Lobby has been barren; like being stuck at a lonely rundown motel with the only amenity being a coin operated vending machine, filled with stale Ho-Ho’s and Kit-Kat bars, to assuage your pangs while your rumbling stomach conjures visions of a sizzling steak (insert tofu slab for you veggie fiends) and a pile of steaming garlic mashed potatoes.

Furthermore, his community is filled with junkies; as it is no secret that just about every one of our members is afflicted by an insatiable urge, akin to a case of the late night munchies, to drain their wallets in order to fill their entertainment centers.

Fret no more! I am pleased to announce the newest addition to the Lobby: Penguin United.

In an effort to expedite our relationship (read: get deals to all of you) we have established a link from our homepage to the Penguin United site. This should grow over time, but for now check out the link on the homepage if you have not done so already.

If you want a solid set of HDMI cables they have them, along with an exclusive line of Wii products--which includes the 1st charging stand to hit the market!

They are growing and so are we; with that in mind, we will be looking forward to more to come from Penguin United. Since Penguin United is also a member we will also be setting up a special forum for community interaction between all of you here at PGL and Penguin United. So, feel free to browse their site or offer suggestions on gaming centric products that you would like to see.

Main thing: take advantage of the deals; PU is offering a 15% discount to all PGL members.

Reviews of a few of these products are also right around the corner. I for one have been using the HDMI cable for about a week now and I am glad that I made the switch. They are solidly built and supporting an excellent picture and anyone who knows me knows that I look for deals…please restrain yourself from any further comments…you know who you are.

Thanks for reading and I am looking forward to hearing what all of you have to say!

Penguin United makes some great products. I'm currently checking out the only chargeable Wii controller device on the market made by Penguin United. It is very cool. I had a chance to set it up, take some photos and then I had to fly out of town. With 15% off, its an awesome deal for PGL members!! I'll be doing a full review soon, but for now, here are a few of the photos I took of the charger.

And here's a slideshow of the rest of them. Like I said, more thoughts to come, but if you've been looking for a charging solution for the Wii, this system is awesome and is the first one on the market!

Oh VERY COOL! I'll most likely have to get one of the charging stations!!! That's awesome!

I was set to bash them on the price of their HDMI cables- although 29 bucks is better than the 'list' price of $99, I can get them on Ebay shipped for $15. At least its cheaper than the BB Monster/other brand price.

Hi Guys,

I forgot to mention, during checkout, please type in "pregamelobbyisgreatest" to get the 15% storewide coupon. Let me know if you have any trouble with it.

Also, I love to hear more about ways we can improve our products, or any other accessories suggestion.

We have been thinking about the Wii Zapper gun for a little while, but thought that a Nunchuck controller built into the gun would be harder to use than the orginal two hand Nunchuck and Wii Remote setup. What do you guys think?

Thanks!

Are you getting the new Nyko controllers for the 360/PS3?

Brew I am about to change your custom title to something else
.....but I still love you anyway.

I think that maybe I wasn't clear enough in my announcement as to what is going on here.

With PU joining up with us we now have our own Manufacturing/Distribution company partnering up with us here at PGL.....get it?

This goes way beyond them getting any other brand of controllers...they are the Brand!

So if you are looking for controllers for the PS3 and 360 Penguin has heard you I am sure...look for much more to come!

Also, in regards to your MSRP comments from what I saw my HDMI cable looked as good as any of my Monster cables. In fact I just replaced a $99 Monster Component cable with a set of PU's HDMI cables. Remember you are getting 15 percent off the prices listed by being a member here.

More importantly you will have one on one rapport and feedback from a manufacturer who is also a member. I have spoken with PU and he is a solid guy, which is one of the main reasons we decided to invite him in. Beat that on Ebay.

Also, keep in mind that this is a growing relationship. And we are just kicking things off. Just as we are growing so is Penguin United.

Cables come a wide varity of grades and quality. We decided not to get into the low end market, but at the same time, we couldn't get into the high end market.. so we are in the middle here : )

But the quality of our cable is as good as the $100 one sold on best buy.

No Rhino- you missed MY point lol

PU, I have no doubt your cable is better than the ass Monster ones (besides, as us HT guys all know, its a digital connection- it'll either work or it wont). I was complimenting the fact that you don't charge up the ass for them.

Penguin, you'll have to forgive, BrewCity. Pirates, like Brew, don't seem to act very happy when you stick their hand-hooks in their poo hole in their sleep!

I will most likely be ordering a charger soon, though! Looks like a neat accessory!!

Any thoughts about doing a HDMI to DVI cable? I could use one of those. If I get a Wii, you'll be my first stop for cables and such. Nice job.

Penguin -- how 'bout an inexpensive, small scale rechargeable wireless USB keyboard for the 360. Or make it run on the rechargeable 360 battery, even better.

oh, and if it made coffee, that'd be great too...

A quality yet inexpensive HDMI switcher would be a great idea!
