In the immortal words of every typing test ever made, now is the time for all good men (and women) to come to the aid of the party! So what does this cryptic message really mean? I thought you might ask.
PreGameLobby has been around in spirit for a little over 2 years. We have been at our present home for three months. In that short time we have accomplished quite a bit. At time of posting we have over 430 members, 30,000+ posts and recently more traffic than we could handle! I am pleased to say that with that growth we have been able to maintain what makes PGL unique - our sense of community.
Many members have asked in the past how they can help contribute to the PGL cause. Well we now have an answer. On the home page (
PreGameLobby.com), there is a new module that will allow you to contribute to PGL via Paypal. There are also contribution links at the top of each forum page in the navigation bar. You can also skip the searching and
Click Here to get right to contributing.
There is no obligation to contribute anything in order to continue enjoying the benefits of this fine community, nor are there any set contribution amounts. These links are designed to allow those members who, out of the kindness of their hearts, want to contribute towards keeping PGL active and growing in the right direction. Funds contributed will be used to pay for hosting, bandwith, upgrades, etc.
We have much more in store for PGL members. Right now we are working on setting up a "buyers club" where PGL members can pay a small fee for access to discounts on almost any Audio / Video gear you can imagine. As part of this program PGL will also be offering monthly and/or weekly specials. These specials are for club members only. Most of the prices are so low that they cannot be advertised in the general forums. Those of you who want to contribute can do so without the fear of losing that "credit" towards this buyers club fee.
We are also working on a site redesign to give PGL its very own look. We have been reviewing draft logos and we are working on different layouts we believe will give us the most flexibility for the future. Once we decide on a final look, logo and colors, we will hire someone to do the actual site coding for us to make sure everything is a smooth transition. We will use funds collected for this project as well.
These are but a few small things we have in store for PGL members. The main purpose of this post is to let you all know that those of you who want to contribute to PGL can now do so and to thank every PGL member for making this place so great!
Oh yeah - we are also kicking around the idea of having a module on the front page showing the top 5-10 contributors each month. We haven't finally decided on that one, but there is a pretty good chance it will be making its debut soon!
