| PS3 Rockband second impressions Ok, I have had some time to play through much of the game, and while the game itself is epic, and the best music videogame ever made, the hardware problem rumors are true, and real.
We bought 2 complete sets, and both guitars and now having problems.
The downstrum is intermittant, or non functional.
I have 2 new ones on the way.
This seems to be a widespread, cross platform problem.
We broke the bass drum pedal completely in half.
There are already aftermarket diamond plate reinforcing kits on e-bay. I have a new pedal on the way, and will probably reinforce it with diamond plate.
This is such a shame, because the game itself is great, with the only complaint being the lag time on the vocals through the optical output running dolby 5.1 surround.
Rumor has it there may be a fix coming in the future for this.
They really need to make better peripherals even if it raises the cost.
I have no problem buying quality and paying more for it.
Where are the aftermarket guitars?
Seems like there would be a huge market for a quailty guitar that works for Rockband for PS3.
Maybe they will get the bugs worked out of the hardware, and this game will be able to take it's place as the king of all music video games.
