The game is not really a 2.0 revision. It's more like a 1.9 Expansion Pack. I say 1.9 because this game is now so much more polished now.
ACES - instead of unlocking weapons with new ranks, you unlock weapons via ACES. ACES is the experience points you get by completing kills in certain ways. Marksmanship earns you new assault rifles and sniper rifles. CQB earns unlocks new SMGs and Assault earns you new shotguns. This is very cool. Right now, I'm a Marksmanship - 6, CQB- 4, Assault - 1.
Experience points. You get tons of experience points playing. You get +5 for every kill and then the ACES bonus on top of that. You get the kill points only from your teammates (not ACES). I've played three levels and have already gone up two (for my initial promotion from my R6V1 save).
The best part about experience points is that they don't go away after dying. If you die and get reset to a checkpoint, you keep your experience points. I cannot thank Ubi enough for this.
Co-op!!! Sure it's two player only, but it's true drop-in, drop-out. Seamless. Keezy joined while I was 30 minutes into a match. No hiccups, no loading screens (for me). I just suddenly had a new partner. One other note is that the second player cannot control the AI squad, only first player can.
Couple other small things. If you're playing and then put on your silencer and then die, when you reset at the checkpoint, you will still have your silencer on. If you pick up a weapon and are killed, when you reset at the checkpoint you will have the guns that you had when you died. These can be good or bad depending on circumstances, but so far it's been extremely appreciated.

| I was enjoying the game today. Did some mutliplayer with Twilight, WoodGhost, Cuse, M Theory, and few random people; I was testing some changes on my LAN to see if I could host more than two people (did 8 with no problems, didn't test beyond that). Game seem to run pretty smooth. Still got wooped on, but no biggie. Wish there were more play modes like GRAW2 for multiplayer.
Twilight and I played the first three missions in co-op normal. It was pretty damn fun. I thought the AI were a bit more stupid, since they seem to always stay at the last battle. In some respects, it's easier than the last one in co-op story than just single player, since if you die and your co-op partner can stay alive, you can respawn. I was making tons of silly mistakes, which bailed me out. But game play was solid and what I basically was expecting.
On a side note, is it me or did they add a ton of resupply points in story mode? Some of the levels, it seem like after every decent battle, there was one around the corner.

Team leader is fun if your team leader isnt retarted and wants to run out in the middle of the fight and get killed {Most folks are just trying stuff out and dont know any better yet} Team Deathmatch is of course fun. I played one mode that one team has to set the bomb in one of two places and defend it till it goes off which seems hard to do when they are just waiting on ya. There was another mode where one team has to take a brief case to a location and I really dont understand the spawn situation on that one I'll have to read up on it because I was spawning then all the sudd'n I wasnt but it may have been set on a certain # of lives. Over all its fun online.... Ohhhh I thought they did away with rader {which I hate} but you just have to go to options and turn it on.

I feel like saying "look if you wanna play one game and only one style of game for months and months on end you go ahead." Its like they had no idea that rainbow is very different than cod4 {which I think is also a good game}. Sometimes you have to get italian dressing instead of ranch just to mix it up a bit. {bye the way what do you call olive gardens salad dressing? It's not really italian but what ever it is its GOOOOOOOOOD!

Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: Austin, TX Age: 25 | It's an extremely polished and much more fun version of R6V1. So if you never bought the first one, buy this one. And now that most of us have made the jump, we won't be going back to play R6V1 again.
It's fun and with the exception of Elite Ronnie and his posse, it's an almost entirely co-op game. Which is great in any game.
So pick it up. I'll be playing this forever.

I think you need a minimum of 6v6 to reach a xp modifier of 0%. When you have less than 0%, you receive less experience points per kill and match completion. When you have more than 6v6, you get more xp. These are just my guesses, if anyone knows for sure please share.

To get multiplayer achievements, you have to have at least 6 people in the room.
I do love how their aren't ranked achievements any more. It's just any kind of multiplayer, which means I don't have to play with the General Public. THANK YOU!
