What to do..........

I bought a PSP recently and love it. The games and movies are great and I finally figured out how to get on the web with it. Problem is I know there are plenty of other applications but I have no idea how to find out how to use them. I’ve heard there are web sites to get AVI files from that are compatible with PSP but I can’t find them. I don’t necessarily want to break any laws by downloading illegal files or anything, pay sites would be fine, but where do I find them? Also what about the PS1 downloadables I’ve heard so much about? You get the point; any and all advice is welcome.

I hope my horrible punctuation and sentence structure hasn’t scared anyone away, I’m really just looking for some good solid PSP advice and new ideas here.

something i found to be kind of fun to do with my psp is you can download movies from google video in the psp format, just download and copy straight to your psp

Man, this is a great question Prophet0ne. I haven't used my PSP in a while, but mostly because my wife has taken it over exclusively and uses it to play Soduko nonstop now!! haha. The google video bit sounds cool. If anyone else could chime in, I'm interested as well.

well, you can use programs to convert files from AVI to a more common(Readable) mp4 format, but that is where it starts to get a lil shady. i dont know of these programs personally so use at your own discretion.

Thanks JParker, I'll play around with that later today. I'm still looking for info on the PS1 downloads though. Seems I can remember BrewCity posting something about it in '06 but I cant find it in the posts anywhere.

Well... If it is still possible, return your PSP and buy the updated version when it comes out.

that is the best advice possible gordon, that new one will probably retain the same retail price and the features are awesome, as far PS1 titles go, i thought the way that all worked was you could buy them on the ps3 with their network, then transfer the game to your psp, ive never heard anything about downloading the ps1 games from the net just for PSP, i dont know if your into homebrew stuff at all, but they found a hack for all firmware versions, all you need is the Lumines UMD

Namehater, I think you are correct for now, although I believe there has been talk about downloading directly to the PSP. That would be awesome. Right now I don't believe it works that way though.

ive i got my psp about 6 months before my 360, and i havent even turned it on since then, traded most of my games to goozex even heh, all i have left is a few movies and some games that nobody wants, would be nice to find some uses for it
