there is, but it's not available in the US. Japan has one. I can't say whether you should try to pick one up or not, since I don't know how their broadcast are. They could be digital already or some other kind of band that US stations don't us.
Sony likes to push their slingbox thing. So you would need some sort of internet connection for the PSP, and to have one of their TV Anywhere set up at home.
As for games, I would say to pick up one of the GTA games; I believe Gamestop has them for $15 a piece. I've enjoyed Syphon Filter Dark Shadow (it also has game sharing), and I like Papaton. If you shop around, you can pick all those games up for $20 or less if you shop around.
If you plan on some gaming while traveling, you may want to consider getting a game case. I got the Sony Traveler case for $20. It holds two games, two Duo sticks. The only big knock on it is if you want to change games, you have to take the unit out of the case, and the WAN switch can be hard to move while in the case. I don't have it, but I don't think it'll work if you have the big battery. I'm assuming you got a slim PSP.
