Seriously though, I was at Circuit City on Saturday and they had Die Hard 1-4, Hairspray and The Santa Clause 3 on the shelf (all Bluray). So much much for street date.

| Stores around me are too careful about abiding street date....
I went to pick up a movie relatively recently at my local Fry's Electronics and I remember seeing a movie on the shelf that I wanted and wasn't supposed to be released until the next week. Well, I went to pay for it and they said I can't purchase it yet. I asked them, then why was it on the shelf. The lady just replied someone messed up and you can't purchase it until next week.
Retarded. That's about the only time I know stocking happened before release date. Every other store I go into, I never see release dates broken.
Ah well, I will be picking up Live Free or Die Hard, for sure! My wife actually really enjoyed that one! | |

Join Date: Sep 2006 Location: Kirkland, Wa Age: 40 | Funny thing happened to me. I was at Best Buy buying a couple copies of Mass Effect and thought I'll buy the die hard collection too. So I go up to the register and tell him what I want and he graps my copies of Mass Effect then says you should go to target fot Die Hard it's cheaper or bring in the ad. He doesn't even ask if I still wanted it at the higher price just rings up the games.... So I guess I'll go to Target today. | |

Join Date: Sep 2006 Location: Hill Valley, 2015 Age: 25 | Well, they have to look better than the horrendous DVDs. Those things are plagued with edge enhancement and macroblocking. I've heard the Bluray's are leaps and bounds above the DVDs, but aside from DH4, the originals don't look as good as some catalog movies.
