I'm sure someone is getting one on launch day. I canceled my preorder when the price was released ,so I'll be waiting at least a year. I expect a full review on the PS3 and whatever games you play on it, whoever may be getting it.

I'm going to pass on it for a year or two. I haven't seen any games that I really enjoy or that I think look good on the PS3 (in terms of gameplay, not graphics). I personally loathe the MGS series, so that's not a selling point.

It's just way too much money for my tastes, not to mention that I don't really want to support Blu-ray in this idiotic format war. I have a feeling history may repeat it itself. Just a feeling...

I love the MGS series as well as the Gran Turismo series but, with that said, neither of them are coming out right away so I think I can hold out until they do come out to consider it!

I'm sitting this one out for a while. I'd love to get one at some point, and have the best of both (all 3?) worlds. Launch times are always kind of slow, and the 360 will keep me warm at nights until PS3 starts getting some 2nd-3rd round software.

i have lived without a ps2 since my original died 32 days after buying it and sony told me to f off. i will be avoiding sony products for the most part, this is no exception. I do sometimes wish i could play some of the superior games but im usually busy enough with others that i just dont care.

If I do get one at launch it is going on Ebay. I can't pass up a $1000+ profit. I'm going to try Amazon. That is how I got the 360 on launch day it it was delivered the next morning. Hopefully Amazon will release some PS3s on the morning of release day, then it's a matter of being extremely lucky to get on before they sell out in a few minutes.

I'm going to wait on a ps3 as well. There aren't any games coming out that I want at lauch and $600 bones is just too much for a game system no matter the features. My 360 and the upcoming games will keep me plenty happy.

BTW, Grife how are you liking Marvel Ultimate Alliance? I'm really tempted to pick that game up for the co-op and the diablo style gameplay.

That's still almost a $600 profit after fees. That can buy several 360 games along with the HD DVD addon and some HD DVDs.

I did. I had to fax them my name, rank, and serial number to get back in and make them money. They re-instated me a week or so ago.

I'd buy one at launch but I doubt I'll be lucky enough. I love camping, but not outside stinky as best buy stores. (also, I think if I was lucky enough I couldn't turn down $600+ profit)

That said the launch line-up looks very strong, though MY #1 anticipated title isn't launch (Motorstorm) so the weight will be easier to bear.
