I'm sitting out the launch on the PS3 but might consider picking one up at a later time of the price drops and there are exclusive titles that make it worth buying for. Of the launch games I would be interested in, I could get or will be getting those titles for the XBOX 360. No need to drop $600 on a PS3 now because of that fact alone.

Been waiting for the PS3 for a while. Didn't buy the 360 because I wanted to wait. Still thinking about it, but I don't trust first edition consoles much.

Those of you waiting for a price drop for the ps3 will be waiting longer than usual. They need to keep it priced higher, longer, to recoup as much as possible on hardware losses. They backed themself into the corner when they decided on manufacturing the Cell 4 years ago. Im sure they didnt forsee themselves having such huge money problems across the board, not to mention the 2 thousand batteries(lol) being recalled.

With the complexity of consoles these days it is getting a little more tricky with launch editions it seems. I still don't think I can convince my wife that we need to get one with the hefty price tag it carries.

Well I wasn't going to get it but BB had the pre-orders up for a few hours tonight so I placed an order. I figure worst case is I make a few bucks off of it. I guess I'll find out on the 18th if it gets delivered. If both orders come I'll sell one and keep one.
