Folklore demo unedited footage....well sort of.

At first I was intrigued by this title, so I decided to play it.

Instead of doing a write up, as lengthy as this little video clip of the 1st time I tried to play this game, I decided summarize my feelings for this game at the very end of the vid....

+ YouTube Video

OK, I really can't keep my mouth shut...what is up with those leaves on the side of the text based intro screen...no voice-acting??? WTF, is this 1985?

That just looks very annoying. Can you imagine having to go through an entire game "reading?" I think they were trying to be artistic... or could be the graphics for them leaves cost so much, they couldn't afford any voice actors?

Either way, this game never sees the light of day from within my PS3...

Imo its a class game, buying it upon release, I miss the rpgs where you READ y'kna to engage the brain, makes a change from just turning off n listening to a voice actor lol, doesnt bother me the slightest.

I actually do think they did it that way to give it a book feel to it. I won't buy rpgs anymore anyways. Nice nut-shot.

I thought the demo was odd. I was confused by the people I had to talk to and the fact that they all looked the same. I did like the cool battles though and being able to swap in and out magic (or folklore or whatever it was called) that you gained from fallen foes. That was pretty cool. Overall though I'm not sure I'm sold on this one. It looked cool when I saw it before, but for some reason it seems a bit too repetitive for me. Maybe I'll play it again and see if I can put my finger on why I wasn't completely sold on it.

Well I liked it. Pre-ordered it before I even finished the whole thing.

The last second sums up the demo apparently. I don't need any nut pain, and that's why I don't own a PS3!

Good stuff Rhino!

I do like how it was different and a throw back to the old school RPGs. What else did you like about it Jagger?

I noticed rhino had some "trouble" absorbing folk, if i knew how to record ingame foot i would do a lil demo vid of it, it works so smooth once u sorta just chill, and do it smoothly, it tend to rack 2.3 red souls ready to get absorbed, all in sight, R1, gets em all selected, quick flick, doesnt take a second, very nifty lil control i love it. Game looks ace and the gameplay rocks, im sold.

I don't know.. I liked the look of everything, thought the fighting was fun.. just enjoyed it overall really. The left/right motions were pretty much the only thing I didn't really care for.
