Incognito Responds To Warhawk Issues

There's no question that Warhawk is a super fun game, but there have been numerous reported issues from players over the past week or so. Unfortunately, some of these problems were evident during the beta testing, and they don't appear to have been fixed.

But Incognito's Dylan Jobe popped up in the official PlayStation forums to clarify the issue a bit, and reassure everyone that the team isn't "sailing around, enjoying the Labor Day holiday" while the issues continue. He admits to having been "pretty quiet" in regards to the "root cause" of the errors, and says they do have fixes for some of them. The three main problems his team is focusing on are-

Stats and Ranking errors, delayed posting, missing stats.
"Connection Failed" or otherwise messed-up join game errors.
Network Drops/Disconnects (we have a fix for these and should be deployed in the next service window).
"Our team here at Incognito along with our great support team in San Diego were, and continue to be, diligently working on these issues," writes Jobe. "I want to reassure everyone that while we *have* been quiet these last few days, it is NOT a sign that we are off on some tropical island somewhere...we are hard at work on the big issues."

With no beating around the bush, Jobe says there have been several "unforeseen issues" that happened when the game went live, and the team has been working towards a cure for Warhawk's ills. Well, that's good to know. Online games tend to have their little hiccups here and there, and while we're perfectly willing to accept a few of those, we really can't handle too many game connection drops. And we really don't like it when our accomplishments aren't recorded. But hey, the team is workin', so we're happy for now.link

I myself have been victim to these issues.

Are they annoying enough that I should hold off on buying until they're fixed?

I picked up Warhawk the other day...took me a few matches to get used to the controls. Played today using the sixaxis and I absolutely love this game. The control is tight and responsive, it takes a bit to get used to tilting the controller and the right stick at same time to pull off barrel rolls etc, but once you have it down it becomes second nature.

This game is a 9 in my book. Favorite PS3 game so far and the bluetooth earpiece that it came with is slick.

My only complaint is that I have so much fun the hours pass by like minutes!

Yeah, I'm the same way Goat. i am getting sick of the maps, though. I really hate the tow missles when I'm in a turret and the mines on CTF.

Crap. I went to the store today to buy this among a few other games and got to chatting with the sales guy and totally forgot. I came out with Bioshock and Lair, but didn't remember about Warhawk until I was down the road already. Guess I'll hafta grab it later.

Warhawk is a definite buy Peench. Also I don't regret buying Lair, the reviews are just not fair. The control and some of the moves take alot of practice, but once you understand the movements etc you can go back and replay levels to unlock extras.

Also the bluetooth earpiece is a great pack-in...I'm gonna use it for Home and future online games.
