Read up on offical ps3 forums, Warhawk freezing issues and other bugs been fixed, The "XMB" or whatever to listen to music ingame isnt included in this update, its to fix freezing issues ect. Another source said the xmb update AND home will be included together in update 2.0 so thats something im looking forward to!

Firmware update 1.92 released

The latest firmware update is now available and, sadly, everyone hoping for the legendary 2.00 release is going to be disappointed. 1.92 hit sometime late last night and adds a nice selection of new features/fixes, even though an official release list has yet to be revealed. We're hoping to see a post on the PlayStation.Blog regarding what exactly is new at some point today. We would quite like to know where exactly 1.91 went too, but that's really neither here nor there.

Despite a lack of feature list, members of NeoGAF and the official US PlayStation forum have been figuring it all out for themselves and have noticed the following differences:

The ability to add Flash wallpapers
Web browser improvements

Controllers auto-power off after inactivity

The XMB loads icons and video thumbnails much faster. (I tried this out and its soooo much faster now) Transitions between games and the XMB are all reportedly faster too.

Backwards compatibility updated for consoles lacking the Emotion Engine

None of the above has been officially confirmed, as of yet. We will let you know when it does.link

Anyone heard if the 1080i problems are going to be addressed in 2.0? These games that are downconverted to 480p are almost unplayable on a large screen TV.

I haven't heard anything officially unfortunately. They are working on it but I'm not sure why it has taken so long to implement a fix. It is very odd... unless of course they want to force everyone to buy a new TV?

Peench, good point. But you'd think they would want to sell more PS3 games to people like me, rather than a sad attempt to manipulate the HDTV market. I personally will not waste any more of my money on PS3 games that do not support 1080i. They look like crap compared to the 360's 1080i graphics.
