E3 2007: LittleBigPlanet Impressions

It's hard to write about LittleBigPlanet, because like the game itself, writing about it can be an infinite task. Sony has truly something fantastic with LittleBigPlanet. I had a chance to check out the game, and I was amazed at just how user friendly the interface was. We were creating our stage on the fly, decorating it and everything. The physics calculations that go on with the interaction between you and the objects is even more impressive when you're actually involved.

It was hard for me to play LBP, but not because the game is difficult...or rather the stage that we created was difficult...but because of how frigin' beautiful the game looks. I mean really, you look at videos and screens, and you're still not seeing the big picture until you have the game right in front of you. The textures may very well be the best on a game to date, by far. Even though it is based on a two-dimensional plane, no other game looks anywhere near as stunning as LittleBigPlanet.

And just like much of Sony''s lineup, LittleBigPlanet exuded fun. You can't help but smile and laugh with every movement and action that you perform. After playing LBP for a bit, I knew that it'd become the next best thing in videogames. Creating your own stages, then sharing and playing them with anyone in the world? Brilliant. The time for LittleBigPlanet's release cannot come soon enough. The wait will be torture.

I for one am looking foward to this one!

I am definitely looking forward to this one! My wife thinks it actually looks interesting enough to play, too!

I downloaded the gametrailer on PSN and I didn't understand the game. Nice graphics though. Very interesting from what I did see.

When I first saw this game I thought someone was smoking crack. It looked lame. Then a few months ago I was able to play it and it was like crack. I was instantly addicted. With the new additions of being able to create and share levels, this game is going to rock, hard! I can't wait for this game to drop, I will definitely be picking it up!
