I'm not selling it. I'm keeping it for exclusives (which is like, a lot). I will use it as little as possible so that I don't turn out like the rest of the gaming world and have a $400+ brick laying around.

or use it a lot, have it break and get it fixed and have no more problems. I left mine on 7x24 for over 6 months before it died. And I owned it for 9 months before that. If you are so worried about it dieing and not playing it you might as well get rid of it. Your logic is flawed.

My replacement is much quiter and cooler then the orginal one I had. Yes I was out it for 3 weeks but I played it everyday for several hours a day. I just find you logic funny that's all.

There seems to be a lot of 360 bashing from this side of the house lately around failures when the failure rate is no worse or better then before the extended coverage.

To be fair there are a lot people coming down on the PS3 as well, this is normal for video game forums. For the majority of the time I think people have been fairly civil regardless of what format a person favors. Sure there are a few extreme people here that just will not accept that it is ok to like both console but I don't feel that brew falls into that category. I certainly haven't read anything from him that would make me believe that.

I don't see it as bashing when people are merely stating what is happening right now. You yourself even seemed ready to shift over to Sony, yet that wasn't bashing you were frustrated with your situation, correct? While a partial extended warranty is better than nothing it still doesn't make things ideal. I think we can agree on that.

You say no better or no worse. Well "no better" isn't really a good thing IMO. Granted it does sound like yours is better so maybe Brew should get his fried and have them change whatever they do to make it hopefully more reliable.

Bashing is tooo strong a word, sorry. Mentioning his 360 as a brick in every other post brew makes gets old.

I guess my point is if you are afraid to play it you are not enjoying it. If you are just leaving it off collect dust until a "excusive" title then it seems like a waste. I never was much of a Sony fan, I was frustrated. I think the PS3 is a great DVD/Blu-ray player!! I just think the controller makes it a unplayable game machine. I’m hoping a 3rd party controller comes out for the PS3 that makes it playable for me.

I agree on that, but part of the way forums go. We get people constantly saying the PS3 has no games yet that was really only accurate a while ago and not now.

I say play it Brew, or have aetherhole fry it up nice and good for you and get a new heavy duty one Though they might have some aetherhole clause in their warranty, make sure you read the fine print

Is your source the OXM magazine? I just read it there. They sort of mention it in passing though, which is odd. I'd wait to hear from Namco on it. I think you're looking at a year later on the PS3 if lucky. Peter Moore mentioned they have no timed exclusives shorter than that in 2007.

Oh yeah, and Dead Rising killed my machine, and it's never been off for more than a few days straight. All is well.

My logic is flawed? Thats a bunch of shit, dude. Jon went through 7. Thats a possible 21 weeks of no games. I'd rather spend the time with it playing games I can't get for the PS3. PS3's are not known for dying like 360's are. Sounds like sound logic to me. As for your bullshit statement of bashing, it'll stop when they fix their damn machine. You can sit there and accept their shitty QC all you want- that's your business. I may not make the kind of money you do and $400+ is a large investment to me. It's my damn right to bitch about it. Assholes here poke fun at Sony for lowering their prices, yet they don't say anything on how MS has to constantly bump up the warranty on their flawed console.

LOL those last few posts crack me up. Brew is kinda like me, Im getting a PS3 late next years when the prices drop And I've got some spare cash, Purely for Blu Ray to save money, Im stopping the fanboy nonsense because Imma be playing PC games, 360 exclusives, AND ps3 games Watching Blu Ray and HD movies by mid way next year when I get myself pulled around. In debt lol and no job to pay for it ^^.

Ive went through 5 xbox's and ive heard ps3's are reliable, Since Im also stopping the point whoring ,I wont hesitate to get a game for the PS3 if its out on xbox aswell purely for the points I wont care then.

Imo the best way to be is just dont favor one over the other. If you like both, get both, If you like the xbox just stick with the xbox, If you like the ps3 same thing get it, use it.

Peeps like me, Students have to much time on their hands So I plan on filling it in with gaming lol!
