Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Encinitas Age: 23 | PS3 Breeds Crime Well not really... But for the second time I've been robbed for a ps3. Im not sure wether it was real or not ( the gun). I really didn't care to find out. It was flashed and the shit head tweakers ran out with the ps3. Horay.
Edit: for those that don't know.. I work at a gamecrazy and we were robbed for the second time in a month... probably by the same guys. I didn't own the systems. It just gets really annoying with this shit getting worse.

When I went out and bought my PS3 I had a couple of friends with me, its a shame we live in a world of shit-holes who would rather steal from others than work hard for it.
That blows bigtime that you have spent the money twice and still don't have the system.

I got held up at gun point once. I calmly reached into pocket for my wallet and then flicked my smoke at his face and rushed him. Chances are, it was a lucky toss on my part, and maybe God helped. I even kept the handgun until I was informed to dump it in case it was used in a crime beforehand. I never even thought of that!

Crazy priced electronics can be flipped for drugs in no time. So it gets kind of dangerous in an unsuspecting setting like a videostore.
They also missed the big score though lol... yesterday was pokemon day*blows brains out*

| Dude you store sucks. Isn't there any kind of security in the store?
I work at pizzeria in not the best of neighborhoods, not the worse either. We've been robbed when I was there; I was so pissed because I was covering someone else's shift and the robber took my money, not the store's. Even our cheap ass owner has video survalence. Heck, I wear a panic button when on shift. I also keep my register pretty empty as a disincentive if we do get robbed.
I would have handed over the PS3 too. It doesn't look for the company if people are hurt or wounded during a robbery. What gets me, if that's the second time in a month, then you guys need to come up with a new proceedure for purchasing big ticket items such as pay first then get system. It is how much electonic stores work for big items. YOu just bring the receipt to the pick up window. I would be cussing out my manager for endangering my and the customers lives. Than again, I have no problems bitching to my managers.

Sadly in San Diego it's easier than you think to just blow someone's head off and just wiggle your way back to LA or Mexico. That's what I'm really worried about. Say someone is a total tweaker out of their mind and just walks in and blasts someone. My store can be crazy busy or crazy slow..ghost town slow. Odds are no one would see anything and no camera recording.

Just stack the PS3's by the door so the thiefs can just help themselves and not even bother you.

I think what is more amazing is that brew keeps smoke in his pants at all times! Quote: |

| hey what pizzeria do you work at and in what City, I need to know someone with a Pizza Connection those are really important lmao.
But yah it sucks that yall got robbed twice but at least it was not yours. you should of gave the guy 1 and told him to meet you around the corner, plus a couple of games, and a wii or 2. Naw im j/k but it wouldn't of hurt to try, you should of just rushed him.

| | PGL Community Vendor | Dude, that sucks. Sorry to hear about the robberies and having to witness mankind at its worst. We've had our store broken into twice since we moved to this new neighborhood (average income here is about $120,000/year - go figure), and I could not tell you how enraged I was. It's probably a little bit different, this is me and Geoff's business and livelyhood, so it seemed more like they were robbing from us. The worst part is how it has changed me. I'm a pretty laid back guy, but if I ever find out who did this to us, from my lips to God's ears, I will beat the dog sh*t out of them, and would have no problem with it.
Again, sorry to hear about this happening to you.

I'm not a violent person, but I do know how to defend myself, and I reacted much more physically than I would normally do. I didn't hurt the guy too badly, but I wanted to (I think the one thing that made me calm down was that I was in uniform). I probably got lucky that he didn't have a gun because my reaching into the passenger side and yanking him out would have left me ina very vulnerable position.
I agree with Brew; the feelings of being unsafe and violated were strong.
