It seems that sales of the PS3 in the UK have dropped drastically in the second week of the console's release. The numbers show an 82% drop in sales. The data comes from several major retailers including GAME, Gamestation, Play.com, and HMV. Draw your own conclusions, folks. link | |

Interesting post from AVS  Spain has sold 100,000 of its 110,000 PS3 consoles!

the XBOX360 sold about 120k in Spain in all of 2006 and about 20k at the end of 2005 (when it launched). The highest I could find there for any year for the older XBOX was about 110k (in 2004).

| This doesn't mean anything to me. Honestly? They prepped for week 1 with their alotment of units. This would only be comparable if they had the same EXACT number of units available during week two and they didn't sell...

Afterall the PS3 sold more units in its first 5 months than the 360 did in 5 months. Keep in mind that the PS3 just launched in Europed where as the 360 did worldwide launch, so the PS3 hasn't been available very long in Europe. Also the PS3 launched with competition of the Wii and 360.. All at a higher price point as well | | | |
