Are you required to buy it from the Sony Store? I thought they were backordered there?

They now have them in stock, you don't have to buy a PS3 it is for any purchase. The drawback.....

Card credit will be applied to your Sony Card account 8-12 weeks after your first purchase.

So you won't see the $100 for 2-4 months after you buy it.
