| PS3 question I have a Mits, RPTV that does 1080i will the Ps3 player downscale the Blu-ray movies to 480p or will it do 1080i? I am thinking about buying this primarily for the blu-ray player but not if It won't do 1080i. | |

If you use component, you'll golden until studios decide to implement HDCP.

| my set does have HDMI so that is most likely the connection I would use. Also, why should I consider buying a 60 Gb over a 20 Gb? What does the hard drive get used for other then game saves? | |

| I think all games install a few gigs of info on the HDD to shorten load times and such. | |

| I think it's not so much the HDD is the big consideration. Don't quote me, but I believe the 60G version PS3 is wifi, and wireless where the other version is not. I think there may be a feature or two difference as well.
I do know the HDD can be changed out to a bigger one; I think for both versions.
I figured by now Sony would have had some kind of update on the game video issues by now. That's a very big issue to still have.
And at this point, getting a PS3 is mainly for a BR player. There just aren't many games that are memorable for the machine. Very similar to the 360 launch titles.

From December - Feb, the only games that appealed to me were COD2 and Madden -- I found the others pretty lame. In Feb, Fight Night 3 picked up the slack. It wasn't until March with GRAW, BF2, and the ultimate time stealer, Oblivion, that the 360 really started to get interesting. I rememebr in early Feb last year, i was so bored with 360 titles that I was mostly playing an OG Xbox title, KOTOR 2, for fun.

| I believe there are three things different in the 60 gig version: Wifi access built in, the size of the HD, and chrome accents... oh wait, make that 4 - the 60 gig also has the built in memory card readers in the front of the machine. | |

| Yeah, I think the bigger hard drive and also Wifi made it a clear winner for me. My router is in the other room and I didn't want to run ANOTHER wire from my router to the PS3... | |

| hahaha nice. I actually like the contrast between the black and the chrome!
I wouldn't like too much chrome but, this is a great amount, IMO.
