There are reports showing up on several game related websites stating that GRAW2 is going to be delayed for the PS3. Are reports true I don't think the people who know are saying at this point. We can all agree that the delay of new titles for the PS3 hurts the overall business. As people who own both PS3 and XBox 360 who want a title will make their purchase based on released information. As it stands right now I am playing on buying GRAW2 for the XBox 360. Again this is based on a lack of knowledge of what is going on with the PS3 title. The game developer wins either way.

The weakness for the PS3 right now beside PSN is the lack of titles currently on the market. The list of titles coming are impressive and there are several games I am really looking forward too.

Getting back to the subject at hand. I wonder and again this is not based on any insider information. If the PS3 version of GRAW2 is going to be delayed due to Sony's March update that is going to overhaul the PSN. Maybe the game is planning on using a feature of the new PSN. As Ubisoft has stated they plan to release several games for PS3's Erupting launch.

So reading the tea leaves Sony will launch the PS3 on March 23rd for Europe. Sony will release a major update to the PS3 including an overhaul of the PSN. Ubisoft will release 5 games in March for the launch of the PS3 in Europe.

March is shaping up to be an exciting month for the PS3. However, Sony and the game developers need to communicate the plans prior to new games being released on any platforms. As a failure to do this will only cost Sony money, as the game developers win as long as you buy the game, they don't care which platform you are using.

You bring interesting questions to the table. Honestly, regardless of whether or not the game is ultimately going to be improved, I believe firmly that this delay will hurt their numbers.

Those people who have 360s as well as PS3s will opt for the 360 version. Those without a 360 will probably still buy it whenever it comes out. Those people who were looking at the PS3 and reading this same information? Are probably less interested in getting a PS3 because of it.

I'll be buying it for the 360 simply because the 360 currently handles friends and interaction/gaming with them better. That's not to say that Sony won't improve that area, but I still have more friends on the 360 and starting up and/or joining a game with them seems to be much easier than trying to game with someone on the PS3. I still haven't been able to do that and Rhino and I tried for hours a while back.

But delaying will definitely result in fewer software sold for the PS3. The developer doesn't really care though as they'll still get paid regardless of what system the game is sold for. I think the only entity it might hurt is Sony.

Do you guys think the ability to start and join games with friends will improve? Is this even something that can be fixed with the whole server structure setup so differant than Live?

I dunno - I hope there are some adjustments tho. When Rhino and I tried to play it was like beating our heads against the wall. We simply could not join the same team. Not sure why, but perhaps if it hadn't been so late we could have figured it out.
