We just posted Ubisoft's fiscal third quarter sales report, which featured an impressive 24% year-over-year growth. At the same time, we had a chance to view their official release list for the fourth quarter.
As expected, Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2 highlighted the list, but only the Xbox 360, PC, and PSP versions were included. Ubisoft announced some time ago they'd be bringing the highly anticipated sequel to the PS3, so the disappearance of that version from the fiscal Q4 release list was worrisome. However, not long after the financial statement, the publisher confirmed with 1Up that the PS3 version of GRAW 2 wasn't canceled; merely delayed.
We don't know how major the delay is just yet; all they'd say is the PS3 version of the game would arrive "later" than the Xbox 360 version. However, both Splinter Cell: Double Agent and Rainbow Six Vegas are still on track for a fourth quarter release for the PS3. thatsgayashell | |

Join Date: Jan 2007 Location: Grand Prairie, TX Age: 37 | I wonder if they are holding off on releasing it due to the PSN upgrade that was mentioned to be released in March. Maybe some of the multi-player modes require this update to be in place.
Again I am wondering out loud I have NO information if this is true or not. | |

| It still probably will be but, it's hard to win a console war when the same game is being released on two other consoles and somehow the release on this console gets pushed back.
It's rediculous if you ask me. Even if it turns out better, people like me aren't going to wait for it to come to the PS3 and Sony loses another sale. | |
