What with the next Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy Tactics titles heading over to the Nintendo DS, the Sony-camp of gamers hasn't been too thrilled. Then a rumor surfaces claiming that Metal Gear Solid 4 will not be a PS3 exclusive and will see a release on the Xbox 360.
Some sources claimed that Konami was worried there wouldn't be enough PS3s in the hands of gamers by the time MGS4 was set to debut. But as of today, Konami has officially denied the rumor of the game being ported to the Xbox 360. European web-outlet Computer and Videogames contacted a Konami representative about the issue and were given this reply:
"Konami has no plans to bring Metal Gear Solid 4 to the Xbox 360 at this time. Additionally the representative made it clear that MGS4 is "exclusive to PlayStation 3." Now the only quirk here is the use of "at this time", which leads us to believe that MGS4 may end up seeing an X360 port but at least a year or two after the release of the PS3 original.

| I've never played a metal gear solid game. Am I a bad gamer?
I guess I'll get my chance this time around. Cool!

I have a problem with the original post though. "Now the only quirk here is the use of "at this time", which leads us to believe that MGS4 may end up seeing an X360 port but at least a year or two after the release of the PS3 original." SPECULATION at its worst! A year or two after a PS3 release? Come on. After six months the game will have lost all of its "edge" and wouldnt be worth porting. TWO YEARS later? At that point it would be a $5 download from live. Jeez......

I have never played a Metal Gear Solid before but if it came out on 360 I would give it a try. Looks to be a good series.

| haha george lucas... I wouldn't quite place him into that same mold as Peter Jackson or Hideo Kojima. He's definitely a visionary person, but just lacks in a lot of other areas. His writing skills aren't the greatest. His story telling abilities are not the greatest..
Of course, this is just my opinion...
