Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: S.F. Bay Area Age: 30 | Scored a 20GB on 12-1. I really wanted a 60GB for wifi and not hassling with buying a bridge. Plus I like looking at my glass table that holds the tv and just seeing my PS3 and 360 side by side without extra crap. So I may upgrade to a 60GB if I get a chance.
Playing on a Sony 60A200 1080p SXRD. Not sure if I'll keep it, though I did score a great price ($1999) from Circuit City. I've also brought my PS3 to two different friends houses, 50" Vizio at one and a 42" Vizio Plasma at the other. Looks great on all three, same with blu-ray movies. Starting to think I would have been just as fine with a 720p set. Still love my set but it was a lot of $. Audio, well I'm still in the revamping stage so I've hooked up a sub directly to my TV and just using the tv speakers. My friends setup is awesome with Denon AVR5600 and Energy C-8's.. Audio Quality for the games is fantastic, PS3 definitely leads the pack as console goes even in stereo sound. Blu-ray movies sound great as well..
So far Motorstorm is amazing, best racer I've ever played. Too bad it is just a demo. Would be my favorite PS3 game if it had more than one track.
Resistance starts off bland on the first level but each level seems to get better and better. Some rally fantastic level designs and there are no cut and paste levels whatsover so far which is sweet. Gameplay is spot on, with great feeling weapons. I don't really like the gun that Tags enemys and heat seeks, but I'm finding it to be needed for some areas. The rest are pretty cool so far. Insomniac's done a great job with the story as well. It is starting to feel really epic and I don't even think I'm half way through it.
F1 was pretty cool as well, not sure if I'll buy it. I was dissappointed that the demo didn't have the destruction that the online gameplay videos show.

Playing at my friends house it was immediately noticable. Of course I'm an audio whore and so is my friend, but even my casual gaming friend picked up on it right awy. PS3 and 360 hooked up to the AVR5600 and Energy C-8's.
Not sure why your post would need to be deleted

Some audiophiles prefer 2 channel for music as well. Higher sampling rates and bitrates make a noticable difference.
Hehe, we go off topic in almost every thread here
I do know Resistance also supports 7.1 lossless sound. I've read a few impressions at AVS but I doubt I'll being doing 7.1 any time soon. 4.1 or preferrably 5.1 is most likely what I'll be doing when I get a new receiver.

| You know, funny you mention 7.1. Today was the very first time anything tripped up my system for 7.1. I was looking at the indicator lights and normally it only shows L,C,R,RS,LS, LFE and for 6.1, SB (surround Back). Today the SB wasn't lit up and instead right next to it was LBS and RBS!
That was even in the PS3 menus! Yes, Resistence does 7.1 which is pretty cool, but I haven't had much time to test it out too much.

| they have friend's lists but I think it's not unified like Xbox Live. So each individual game has different lists...
at least that's from my knowledge and I may be wrong entirely!

It must though as I already had two invites when I did my update I don't have online aside from when I bring my PS3 next door (will need to get a wireless bridge soon).
I'm using the same gamertag as my 360 "Goatmother".
