Uncharted Trophies Live Now!
Quote:
Naughty Dog and Sony Computer Entertainment have just released a 13MB file v1.01 patch for Uncharted: Drakes Fortune, which enables Trophy support for the title.
Here are the details on the Trophy system:
-There will be 48 Trophies in Uncharted; 47 Trophies for finding treasures, participating in hand-to-hand or gun combat etc, one platinum Trophy for unlocking all other Trophies
-The Trophies are tied to the medal rewards which already exist in Uncharted
-It's not possible to attain all Trophies in one playthrough
-To earn Trophies, you must start a new game without any medals or rewards unlocked (if Trophies could be earned retroactively, cheating could occur)
-No other additions or changes outside of Trophies are in the patch
Looks like it's time to pop Uncharted back in the PS3.
UPDATE:
The patch is now available in North America.

I'll be playing through again eventually. I've got 100% now but I think I'll have to use a fresh save for all the treasure, etc. I still don't think I'll get into trophy's much but I love this game so why not. Maybe this will change that for future games.

I got some work put in last night, and this morning(I'm playing it now!). I really like the trophies since I purchased SSHD, and I could find myself getting more addicted to them than achievements. I've been doing a lot more single-player gaming on my PS3 over the past few months, and I think that trend will continue(My Fallout 3 preorder is on the PS3).
The trophies aren't exactly a tipping point, but they certainly help the decision. Yay Sony for doing something we've had for almost 3 years!

D Litch, how far are you on Uncharted? What's your impression so far?
One useful tip in battle is to not hug the wall but still aim from behing the wall, it helps in a lot of situations. Getting down the ability to hugging and using blind fire pretty accurately helps a lot as well.

I'm probably about 50% of the way through. I've definitely learned that with a shotgun it is safer to shoot from the hip if the enemy is within 10 feet. I've been using a lot of cover, but the enemies usually rush me and destroy me before before I get away(or they grenade me out). So far I'm really enjoying it. I held off playing until the trophies update, and it was well worth the wait.
The wet shirt detail is awesome!

I've played through it 1 and a half times already and just now found the screen with all the unlockables.

Yeah, it has quite a bit of stuff. Weapon cheats, mirror world, color palette's, skins.
I unlocked a bit of them by selecting the easiest setting to do the tasks.
