PS3 took a dump... I need help

So my buddy brought his PS3 over for a LAN party (We'll save the geek comments for later) and it was working fine in my room. Then we decided to move the TV and the PS3 into the living room, and when we plugged it back in all we get is a "The hard disc's file system is corrupted and will be restored". Then it does it's thing and starts all over again. Any ideas?

maybe the drive didn't completely park before you moved. HDD are actually very fragile. It's why it's not uncommon to have laptop HDD crash, especially compared to the desktops.

Be more careful and completely shut it off before moving, including the power switch in the back.

Did you create a backup to restore from? I had a bunch of game saves get corrupted early on and lost all of them.

Backups of game data is very important. If I used my PS3 for any games I owuld do it, but I only use it for digotal downloads.

You can find gamesaves at some sites. Video Game Cheats - Video Game Reviews - Video Game Codes - Video Game Web Site - GameFAQs has them and they are easy to use if you have a USB stick drive.
