Rumor that Sony will start the trophy score

Sony is rumored to vs xbox with the gamerscore by starting trophy awards in games what do you think of the rumor True or not

I think it might be coming, but will Sony enforce it in all games? If not then I don't think it will be much of an edge. I am still on the edge about getting a PS3. It seems like most of the PS3 owners on here play games on their 360's more.

As for Blu-Ray discs, I am happy with having my cheap dvd's upscaled on my tv. I know they aren't really hd, but for the price they sure do look good. Most of the movies I get are for my kids and those blu ray movies arent going to play in the car's dvd player nor the portable player we have.

I am just not sure I want to get a PS3 still.

This isn't just a rumor, it is for true. I don't know about a score associated with it, but I know trophies are coming.

I really like the Gamerscore idea. Sony's challenge is to make it their own, and try and unify it across all games. Plenty of games have in-game goals that are similar to achievements.

I guess I just hope it is more like Achievement points/Gamerscore, and less like the trophy/medal screen you find in games like Madden and WWII games (with the Purple Heart and all this).

Stupid idea. I've gone how many years of gaming without these stupid ass achievements? The in game XMB is welcome tho. I shoulda posted this news last week. Oh well (Ive been majorly slacking).
