Dentist Hires 60 to Camp for PS3

Murray Newlin really, really, really wanted to be the cool guy this Christmas by giving each of his grandkids, nieces, and nephews a PS3. Realizing that snagging just one of Sony's next-gen units would be tricky enough, let alone the 15 it would take for him to complete his mission, he outsourced.

According to the Ledger-Enquirer (via The Last Boss), Newlin apparently hired a staff of 60 people, rotating in 8-hour shifts, to stand in line and do his waiting for him. Unfortunately, various other people waiting in line complained long and loud about Newlin's tactics, forcing him to abandon the operation.

If nothing else, this entire situation teaches us one thing: that dentists make too damn much money. I mean, seriously, 15 PS3s at $600 a pop, plus the wages of the temps? That's just plain sick money.

I think the people complaining are losers as much as the dentist is. He thought of an innovative way to get 15 PS3s. Hell - there are some people who outsource the building of the WOW characters. Why not outsource your shopping?

I'll be picking up mine in 8 months when they are readily available.

They'll probably be readily available before then. No one wants to spend $600 on a console in July.
