i got to looking around at games to pick up yesterday and i found UT3 at gamestop for $39.99 new and $34.99 used, there is a coupon floating around the web that gives you 25% off of used games, up to 2, so i picked up both used copies of ut3 and the coupon applied to both, came out to being something like $26 each, damn good deal!

disclaimer- im not a fan of gamestop at all, i never have or plan to get raped by their trade-in BS, before i bought my copies i checked coolstuff to see if the lords had any copies, but to no avail or i would have bought from them!

edit- btw today is the last day that the 25% coupon is any good

I picked up UT3 for $28 w/ tax. Not too bad of a deal.

Great deal. Check out the mods, they are easy to install if you have a USB stick to go back and forth from your PC.

I held off thinking it would be a pain as I'm not good with PC's but it is easy. This site works great there are probably others as well:

Just click on the download and direct it to the USB stick, it is very fast. Pop the USB stick into the PS3. Go to the Unreal III's Community Menu then My Content and then press Square and select the USB stick.

Delete the data on the USB stick then do again. So far it seems you can only do one at a time but it goes very quickly.

You can download off the web from the PS3's browswer as well but then you'd have to quit the game each time for new content as far as I can tell. PC to the PS3 seems much faster as you don't have to quit the game.


FYI, some of the instructions on the websites are outdated saying you need to place the dlc onto a certain folder. That isn't the case anymore. If the USB is the F:/ for example you simple download it directly to that, no folders or anything.

Yeah, I got it. It is so quick to download them that it doesn't hurt to just download maps or mods that sound interesting to you.

Last one I downloaded was a map from Halo which is kind of cool. Some I found but haven't tried them all yet.

Wow, just looked under deathmatch maps.. Lots new cool looking maps. Also, youtube might have videos as well. I didn't find it at first but when you get to the bottom you have to hit "older posts" to scroll to the next page of maps.
