Join Date: Jun 2007 Location: broken arrow, ok Age: 27 | looking for ps1,2,3 game recommendations im wanting to pick up some games for my wife, since i got the 20gb ps3, i guess im looking for games from any playstation. she doesnt like many games, but she says she likes 'mario' type games, and she loves the hell out of 'scene it' for the 360, so im thinking board game style would be very good. what would be some good games to pick up for her to play, remember they have to be semi easy and simple buttons
EDIT: im thinking about getting kingdom hearts because it appears to be an easy RPG, and i think the disney characters might be able to lock her in, anybody played it?

| The Ratchet and Clank series is one of my favorite franchises of all time. Yes, of all time. If you love platforming, humorous story/dialog, and inventive weapons, buy all 4 great ones(The first one, Going Commando, Up Your Arsenal, and Future:Tools of Destruction). You will not regret it.
I could do a monsterous list of every great PS title ever, but I'll just stick to what I think you'll enjoy.
PS2~
MGS:Essential Collection
God of War 1+2
The GTA Trilogy(if you haven't played all of the GTA games yet)
ICO
Shadow of the Colossus
Okami
Any game in the Sly Cooper series
The Ratchet and Clank games listed above
PS3~
Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction
Uncharted
Heavenly Sword
A preorder for MGS4(so you'll get into the beta
There are plenty more great PS2 titles(and I didn't touch PSX titles for fear of dragging on), the ones I posted have the best Greatness:Easy to get into ratio.
Hope you enjoy your PS3, when ever you get it up and running

| Everything I listed your wife should like, except maybe God of War if she doesn't like blood and sex-minigames. Same goes for GTA. | |

It's humor puts Ratchet & Clank to shame, and that's pretty hard to do. It's also got some wacky buy lovable characters. I still play it to this day.
It's available on both the original XBOX and PS2.
By the way, there's no way in hell she'll like the Metal Gear Solid games. Those are for hardcore gamers only. Seriously, probably some of the most overrated games ever released in my opinion. If you get them, I hope you like watching cutscenes...

And if you have the chance to watch this one (it's about 10 minutes), it'll give you a pretty good idea of how the game plays. This is from the 8th level, entitled "The Milkman Conspiracy."
If you like platformers, you should be able to get into this one as well. The XBOX version is the technical superior, but there are some slight audio issues with the emulation software on the 360.
