looking for ps1,2,3 game recommendations

im wanting to pick up some games for my wife, since i got the 20gb ps3, i guess im looking for games from any playstation. she doesnt like many games, but she says she likes 'mario' type games, and she loves the hell out of 'scene it' for the 360, so im thinking board game style would be very good. what would be some good games to pick up for her to play, remember they have to be semi easy and simple buttons

EDIT: im thinking about getting kingdom hearts because it appears to be an easy RPG, and i think the disney characters might be able to lock her in, anybody played it?

Do you think she would enjoy something like Guitar Hero? I know a lot of my cousins and even my aunt love the Crash Bandicoot and the Ratchet series.

If you haven't played any Metal Gear, you should pick up the MGS: Essentials collection to get you ready for MGS4.

It sounds like she likes the same stuff my girlfriend likes. Try the Katamari games. They are happy colorful games with easy learning curves that are easy to pick up and play. Have fun.

Serren will become famous soon enough

Jeopardy and Trivial Pursuit. I picked up both for less then $10 each and my wife (and friends) love them. They are both quite fun, and easy to control. BOth work on my 80GB PS3 as well.

Kingdom Hearts might be a good choice, has a slight learning curve, but not too bad. The obnoxiously cute characters from Disney makes it unplayable by me, but a wife-type might enjoy.

i rented her beautiful katamari just the other day for the 360, i think she likes it, but the time limit on that game makes it difficult to beat the levels

GH is definitely out lol, she wont touch our 360 versions

i hear a lot about ratchet and clank, are they easy games?

The Ratchet and Clank series is one of my favorite franchises of all time. Yes, of all time. If you love platforming, humorous story/dialog, and inventive weapons, buy all 4 great ones(The first one, Going Commando, Up Your Arsenal, and Future:Tools of Destruction). You will not regret it.

I could do a monsterous list of every great PS title ever, but I'll just stick to what I think you'll enjoy.

PS2~

MGS:Essential Collection
God of War 1+2
The GTA Trilogy(if you haven't played all of the GTA games yet)
ICO
Shadow of the Colossus
Okami
Any game in the Sly Cooper series
The Ratchet and Clank games listed above

PS3~

Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction
Uncharted
Heavenly Sword
A preorder for MGS4(so you'll get into the beta

There are plenty more great PS2 titles(and I didn't touch PSX titles for fear of dragging on), the ones I posted have the best Greatness:Easy to get into ratio.

Hope you enjoy your PS3, when ever you get it up and running

Everything I listed your wife should like, except maybe God of War if she doesn't like blood and sex-minigames. Same goes for GTA.

I highly recommend Psychonauts. It's another great platformer that unfortunately didn't get the love it deserved when it was released. It's humor puts Ratchet & Clank to shame, and that's pretty hard to do. It's also got some wacky buy lovable characters. I still play it to this day.

It's available on both the original XBOX and PS2.

By the way, there's no way in hell she'll like the Metal Gear Solid games. Those are for hardcore gamers only. Seriously, probably some of the most overrated games ever released in my opinion. If you get them, I hope you like watching cutscenes...

Here's a video review for it:

+ YouTube Video
ERROR: If you can see this, then YouTube is down or you don't have Flash installed.

And if you have the chance to watch this one (it's about 10 minutes), it'll give you a pretty good idea of how the game plays. This is from the 8th level, entitled "The Milkman Conspiracy."

If you like platformers, you should be able to get into this one as well. The XBOX version is the technical superior, but there are some slight audio issues with the emulation software on the 360.

I'll go with DLitch and say have her try the Sly Cooper series. Those are awesome games. Also, listen to Big Brad for he is wise in the ways of Psychonauts. Awesome game as well.

Apparently, a lot of people don't know how to read (not pointing fingers). Namehater is asking for games that his wife would enjoy, so typical shooters probably won't fit the bill too well.

correct brad, a platformer with a gun involved will barely pass im thinking. tell ya what would be ideal... mario brothers, some side scrolling, jumping fun. 30yr old non-gamer isnt gonna be able to sit down and play resident evil or metal gear lol
