We're two weeks from the US launch of Gran Turismo 5: Prologue, but the highly anticipated game launched in Europe a few days ago. This massive demo is getting rave reviews already - not surprising - but it seems some European gamers have encountered a bit of an issue.
According to European website BeyondPS3.nl, it seems that Prologue isn't as "shareable" as Sony claims in the title description on the PlayStation Store. According to that outline, the game can supposedly be shared with up to 5 different registered PlayStation 3 consoles. However, some users are reporting that only one person can play the game every 24 hours, and it can only be played with the owner's account (i.e., who paid for the purchase). They also say you can't play unless you're logged in to the PlayStation Network, although that shouldn't be too big of a problem for most gamers. We're basing this on a relatively rough translation of the source in question, but we expect it should be accurate.
We'll be testing this out in a few weeks time ourselves, but for whatever reason, the Euro website claims this anomaly strikes both the European and US versions of Prologue. ...how they would know this, we don't know, but we'll certainly look into it.
