| I just fired this up over the weekend after having not played it for along time. Still one of the best looking games this gen. Vivid colors, buttery smooth framerate, excellent animations and very nice particle effects throughout the game. Insomniace really stepped it up a few notches from their launch game Resistance.
R&C is a pretty lengthy journey (probably took me around 15 hours). Lots of variety in the level design with all the different locations. Also there is very little if any back tracking so it isn't artificially long. Some levels and or enemies pay homage to movies like Star Wars, Pirates, etc.
R&C has tons of weapons, I can't think of another game that has nearly as many. Most of them are very enjoyable as well. Almost every weapon is upgradeable and you get to choose which ones. You will not be able to max out one weapon on the first play through which lends to some replayability.
I did find R&C is a bit on the easy side, that is my only real gripe. |
