Thanks, guys, for the nice comments. Again, sorry for the confusion on the Round Robin thing. You'd think it'd be simple to keep track of, everyone playing everyone else once.

Friday's Final Round matchups (12 AM EST):

GYGon (1-4) vs. LMS (1-3)
These two teams represent potential unrealized and, well, potential not even showing up. LMS has had trouble getting their team together, which quickly translates to losses. They did, however, avoid the shame of losing to the Facemelters! GYGon was rocking the first night, pushing Goo to its limits with the 1-2 punch of BLars and Jagger. Since then, however, all they've shown is a lack of interest. Who will bring some pride and take home a win on the last night of HoT:SoS?

Got Gauss? (3-3) vs. Facemelters (0-6)
Got Gauss has all the makings. Vox and Justin are downright incredible. The gausslings take on the 'melters, who are determined to have an individual beer:kill ratio of higher than one on each map.

Goo (5-1) vs. Lords (3-3)
Either a battle for the ages, or a battle of the aged. Keezy and Epyon are trying to keep the rest of Goo from gulping down a strange Geritol/Viagra/Doan's cocktail of pills between rounds. The Lords, on the other hand, are plagued both by old age and Sam's RROD. We'll see who can put down the cane and stride confidently over the finish line. Wheelchairs will be made available to the losers. The viewing area is handicap accessible.

Infinity (5-0) vs. Hot101 (4-1)
And then there's youth, with time on their side. SpartanZ's got Infinity clicking on all cylinders. There are no weaknesses on this team. Hot101's got a solid crew of their own, but they'll need everything at their disposal to bring Infinity back to earth. A win by Hot101 would force a three-way tie at the top (assuming unfinished matches result in victories for these two solid teams).

It'd be great if LMS could get one of these matches done before Friday night or actually play prior to midnight. Staying up to wait for a late match is tough on everyone.

anyway, if i keep wraith shotting justintime, then each melter will only need a single beer, unless they're counting team kills on their side...

I don't know about anyone else on our team, but i'd like to re-schedule GYGon, because in Canada, we don't know the meaning of forfiet, or winning by defualt! also because with what I'm hearing, GOO isn't the only team of Geezerz that can hand out a whupping!

if your performance was "OFF MY GAME" then we're screwed for the rematch!

i'ma see if a wired connecting will make me lag out less... that match was like a replay of the "Horror of Halo 2's matchmaking" on opening month...

So its over right? Was fun up until the last game. Mods, you guys did a great job setting everything My one complaint is the rule of three. Whenever we faced a team full of pglers, it was fun and laid back. Like the site. When the enemy team is full of people nobody knows, it's not fun anymore. It's like playing with the gp. I'm not saying this because we lost, it's simply true. Anyways, great tourney guys!
