Well, the way I've been playing..173 yards of total offense in 2 games.. This one may be a lot closer than you think!

I figured out why Kama is so good...

Belichick Fined; Pats Lose Pick(s)

The NFL slapped Bill Belichick with a maximum fine of $500,000 Thursday for videotaping Jets defensive signals. The Patriots were fined $250,000 and will lose a 2008 first-round pick if they reach the playoffs, or second- and third-round picks if they don't.

Kama had no comment at the time.

No special formatting here, nor any stats from me.

After a fantastic opening day loss that saw 4 of 5 turnovers returned for a score, the hapless Bears and beleagured QB Rex Grossman travelled to New Orleans to take on the Saints.

The incredible AI of Madden predicted another loss for the Bears at 28-10. But this is Madden, and the Bears, after their opening day massacre had a new gameplan.

In this game the defense of the Bears played just as well as in their opening day loss, which can solely be attributed to an anemic Bears O that created 5 turnovers, 4 returned for scores.

Sexy Rex unlocked the 100% completion acheivement for the Bears. 100% you ask, how is that possible? It is when you only throw 4 fricken' times.

New Orleans was unable to get anything going at all and this time the Madden gods deemed their team worthy of the gift of massive turnovers. Seriously, I half expect a 500 MS point download to reduce turnovers.

Anywho, back to this non-game summary.

The Bears, who lost 0-45 last game took a 45-0 lead going into the final minute until Brees found Henderson in the endzone with 10 seconds left.

Bomali, you are awesome.

Madden Sucks.

This sums it up best....

Playing adkiller and getting my ass handed to me he says, 'yeah, I have given up on the passing game except for dinks and dunks'....

after the game I notice that he has something like a 250000 bizillion madden score. I find it lame that someone with that much experience has to give up on the passing game because of poor design.

Odds are the next team I play scores 45.

Final Score

Bears 45
Saints 7

wow, Crank is, uhhh... Cranky this morning.

Yeah, they really need to adjust the superhero interception rate. I doubt they will, but they need to. I mean, they can't even get their website running still...

Way to go, everyone! The first week is officially in the books!

Would the interceptions caused by the computer be less if we lower the rating from all-pro to pro?

I would think so. That's how it is offline... but both teams are playing on AP, so it's not like one gets an advantage. However, the game does seem to decide beforehand who is going to win!

Sorry for my cranky nature this morning, late night poker on a work night tends to do that. Keezles, I thought you were going to join poker night.

Madden Rocks!

Well both games I played Mr. Johhny Madden defintly had it in for me. Ask either of my opponents. At this rate the 1976 Tampa Bay Buccaneers may not be popping their champagne corks cause I may end up 0-14!

Giants 27, Eagles 24 - Overtime

It was one of those games (for me) that I was lucky to be in it at all. Damn, I think AutomatiK187 is my pick to win it all this year.

The Eagles took a 3-0 lead in the first, and the Giants quickly answered with a TD pass from Manning to rookie Steve Smith. AutomatiK187 admitted he was picking on Eagles safety Considine on that play (more on that later). The Eagles retook the lead 10-7, only to have the G-Men march down the field again to take a 14-10 lead. After an Eagles punt the Giants were driving late in the 2nd looking to put the game away for good. Hoping lightning would strike twice, AutomatiK187 went Steve Smith's way, only to have picked off by none other than Considine and ran back 99-yards as time expired. Halftime, Eagles are up 17-14.

The third quarter belonged to the Giants, and they took the lead 21-17. In the fourth, Manning forced one, had it picked off, and ran back for a TD making it 24-21. Both team had possessions that went nowhere and the Giants were driving for the winning score. They had to settle for the FG, tying the game at 24.

In overtime the Eagles got the ball first and got to about midfield. On a big 3-and-short, the Eagles gave the ball to Westbrook on a draw and the Giants just got him before the first down marker. The Giants came driving back, they had to use time outs, and got a big gain to set them up in nice FG range. A couple of runs up the middle to get a bit closer (to overcome kicking lag) and the Giants split the uprights and take the 27-24 win over thier divisional rival.

Stats

E. Manning 9 out of 13 for 236 yards, 3 picks, and 2 TDs
McNabb 5 out of 10, 47 yards, 1 pick, no TDs

Jacobs 22 carries for 100 yards (4.5 avg)
Westbrook 24 carries for 142 yards (5.9 avg) 1 TD

S. Smith 3 catches for 119 yards and a TD
K. Curtis 1 catch for 30 yards

Total Offense: 359 (Giants) 173 (Eagles)
Turnovers: 4 (Giants) 1 (Eagles)
