Crap man, I guess I'm out for the stat thing then. I couldn't even find those stats after the game.

Now see... you got most of them! And you don't have to post all of them or anything, just post what you want. I just wanted people to know what I'm looking for.

In a thorough enough routing for even my liking my poor Jets fell to the hands of the reigning champion Kama. The funniest part was that kama was actually apologizing for beating me so badly! It was a blast playing even though I got smoked and Kama tought me some new stuff as well. Thanks and can't wait to play my next game.

Poor Pennington and his 0.0 rating.

I guess what they say about Southerners being so polite is true.

Eagles 24, Chargers 14

Theme for the game: keep away

First of all, and most important, I had a blast playing with BMC49. Tons of fun. This was his first online game with Madden 08, so I had a pretty good advantage (so beware of playing him later in the season you guys).

The Eagles took the opening kick and marched down the field methodically, converting two 3rd downs to end with a TD pass from McNabb. The Chargers followed this with an interception in their own end of the field, which the Eagles turned into a quick 14-0 lead. A freak fumble on the next series gave the Eagles the ball on the Chargers 3-yard line. And let me tell you all something, don't expect to run the ball on San Diego*. After getting stuffed three times, David Akers came in and made it 17-0.

BMC set LT "The Weapon" in motion and hit him on a 70-yard bomb to score right before the half, cutting the lead to 17-7.

The Chargers got the second half kick and were faced with a 4th-and-one in their own territory. Knowing their was only a few more posessions left in the game, BMC went for it but LT was stuffed on the line, turning the ball over to the Eagles. Working on a short field, the Eagles moved down and scored making it 24-7.

The Chargers came roaring back (don't breathe a sigh of relief if you see LT go in motion and think, like I did, whew! he's not running it), with LT in the slot and another long completion to him moves the Chargers into Eagle territory. BMC converts a 4th down inside the Eagles 20 with a nice pass to Antonio Gates. Two plays later, LT punches in his 2nd TD of the game, making it 24-14.

The Chargers just miss the onside kick and the Eagles run out the clock.

Stats

McNabb 9-10 for 113 yards and a TD (147.0 rating)
Rivers 7-14 for 162 yards, a TD and an INT (86.0 rating)

B. Westbrook 21 carries for 32 yards (*1.5 avg...nice!) and a TD
L. Tomlinson 10 carries for 31 yards (3.1 avg) and a TD

J. Avant 4 recptions for 63 yards and a TD
L. Tomlinson 3 receptions for 126 yards and a TD

Total Offense 178 (SD) 163 (PHL)
Turnovers 2 (SD) 0 (PHL)
Time of Posession 6:51 (SD) 13:13 (PHL)
3rd Down conversions 1/5 (SD) 8/10 (PHL)

The big thing in this game was the fact that the Chargers only got to run 24 plays in this game. Hell, BMC did a great job getting 14 points out of so few plays and not benefiting from any turnovers.

Falcons 7- Rams 3

Well what can I say it was a barn burner at the Georgia Dome this weekend. Talk about two high powered offenses, oh wait, I mean defenses. Who would of thunk it, these two teams with such stingy defenses. Move over Ravens and Bears there are two new sheriffs in town. Not much to talk about on offense since both teams seem to sputter everytime they had a drive going. It was actually a 0-0 affair through 3 quarters until the offenses expolded for 7 and 3 points respectively in the 4th.

Total Offense: Rams-194 Falcons-162
Rushing: Rams-53 Falcons- 45
Passing: Rams-141 Falcons- 117

That pretty much says it all.

I would like to say even though most people would look at this game and call it a snoozer, Kingsfan2099 is a really cool dude and I enjoyed playing a tough game against him. I look forward to playing him again in the future and hopefully we can generate a little more offense in that one. Maybe by that time they will have let Vick back on the team.

P.S.- Sorry folks for the lack of detailed Stats this time, I promise I will do better next game.

Great game Sam. I had a good time playing against you. We'll have to do it again some time.

BS!

I'm having the annual problem chatting/playing with friends, especially in Madden. Strangely, I can chat with my Quo in NC, but can't chat with Kamacauzie or Bomali in my own town.

Does anyone know of a fix?

Thanks.
Schlick

Crud. EA rears its ugly head. Everyone keep your ears peeled. There's probably a workaround out there that's been posted up. We'll find it.

I'll drop a note to the EA Madden UI developer I met on Jellyfish the other day.

The last couple of times I played (in fact the only two times I played) I got a chat request from my opponent outside of Madden. We were able to chat the entire game this way. Try sending a chat request thru the dashboard and skipping the chat function on madden altogether and see if that works.

Actually we've already tried that. It has to do with some sort of connection issue strictly between Schlick and whoever else he tries to connect with in Wichita Falls. I can connect with ADKiller, Causedawg, and I've never had issues with Bomali either. However. If Schlick and I want to even chat, we can't. It was an issue last year for a couple months and then they finally got it fixed midway through the PGL season. It's extremely annoying especially since we like playing each other often. If I set up a "create session" to invite Schlick to an unranked game of Madden, it allows me to create the session and Schlick just never shows up.

Week 2 -Vikings @ Bears

Vikings 45 Bears 0

The Vikes went to Chicago last night and if you look at just the score you'll think it was a blow out, it was actually a closer game than that. I think the stats will show that, the few stats that I have that is. The big story of this one was turn overs. Grossman kept throwing the ball up there and the guys wearing purple and white kept coming down with it. Benson also coughed one up. 3 turnovers for TD's. Both defenses played pretty tough and the offenses struggled to get a lot going. T. Jack connected on a couple of TD passes and AD punched one in from the 1 YD line. Benson pounded the ball pretty well and M. Muhammad caught a pass for a nice gain. Like I said it was a lot closer than the score would indicate. I enjoyed it Crank, good luck man.

Here are the stats that I do have, I'll try to do better next time, plus I'm going to learn how to do the picture thing.

STATS:

T. Jackson -112 yds.,2 TD's Grossman - -10 yds.

Adrian Peterson - 47 yds., 1 TD

Total offense:
Vikings - 177 Bears - 72

Turn over:
Vikings - 0(+5) Bears - 5(-5)

INT Made:
Vikings - 4 Bears - 0

Fumbles Recovered:
Vikings - 1 Bears - 0
