I believe that Quo had the brake line on, therefor requiring him to take his finger off the gas, touch the brake, put his finger back on the gas... This all takes time, which slows you down. I believe that you memorize the track a lot quicker without the brake line. There is an arguement to be made about not knowing the track, but as time goes on, we will know all the tracks. | Actually the brake line was forced off for that race, so I didn't have it on. You guys may be right about the brake line in the long run... you are forced to memorize the tracks faster without it. AND you'll be faster without it once you learn to run without it. I't all about comfort level. If the tracks are memorized, you totally don't need it, especially if you're comfy in your car. It does help people who haven't raced much get a more even footing, though.
I still think we ought to leave it optional to level the playing field just a hair. I would encourage everyone to run without it in Career mode, seriously. It not only makes you better and helps you learn the tracks to NOT have it, but it also bumps your earnings by 10% to not have it on.
At least early in this series, we're gonna leave it as optional.
And I knew that the best way to get people to report their scores was to post up the current leaderboard. As soon as I did, Grenic posted... I swear you guys do it on purpose!
Finally, I think I recorded that infamous "pit" race. I was the only one who didn't because I missed the 1st turn pileup. I heard a ton of laughing all through the race and I wanted to see what happened, so I saved the replay. I'll give it a look and hopefully post it up soon.

| I totally forgot about that one. I think everyone except for one person ended up in the pit in that race. I was in 2nd place maybe and was following Alter because he's pretty dang good and all of a sudden I see "pitting." I'm thinking WTF?! Every other racer but one followed us in. That was so dang funny. The funniest part was that I had missed all of the crashes earlier in the race so my car didn't need any pitting. I cruised right through the pit and ended up in 1st place. Thankfully I was able to hold on to it. Oh man, that was sooooo funny. I totally want to see the replay. | |

One thing I'm thinking about doing is handing out weekly awards for "Hammer of the week", Weekly Points Leader, Team MVP, etc. They'll be in the form of a graphic you can put on your car.
For the weekly Hammer award, post up pics of wrecks to have someone considered!

I just reread my post, and I think I am coming across like a jackass! I hope I didn't offend you. I am not trying to come across that I know a lot about racing, etc. and that you don't. Us Canadians don't roll that way!
Anyway, as I said, in my above post, my wreckless driving abilities were bothering me all weekend. The last thing I want to do is get all my brothers and sisters to the south of me, upset at Canada!

Besides, even if you meant it that way I'd have a hard time taking it that way. You're one of the nicest people I've ever gamed with, so I tend to interpret what you type here in that light.
I didn't think you or anyone else was overly wreckless. Heck, I was wreckless as all git-out. Especially trying to catch Woundup and Alter when they were running 1-2. I can't have that, so I went in ready to rub and gave them both a good pop as they slowed down for a sharp corner. I used them as my own personal guard rail.
I take getting accidently taken out by anyone here about as seriously as getting shotgunned or sniped in Halo. It's inevitable, I might as well enjoy it. Everyone seriously needs to stop apologizing to one another!!! It's all good, let's race! Ya buncha pansies! Where's Dale Earnhardt when you need him?!?
I better not hear any more talk about how "I'm sorry I'm so bad I wrecked you" or "I'm sorry if I offended anyone"... or so help me I'll... I'll...
Keezy, tell 'em what I'll do.

I'm expecting everyone to start sporting their colors! Some team logos would be nice as well!
