Also, do you guys want to do a PGL Poker Tour like Woundup was talking? Here's my proposal, your input is appreciated: - A monthly "event" (we could call it something different every month).
- Winnings based on how many people show up. I.E. follow a standard payout like tourneys online... not that I know anything about that
- Update the leaderboard each month.
- A year-end wrapup event with double or even triple the normal payout.
Does this sofware include game variants, or just no-limit holdem? Also, does this game support multi-table tourneys?

| Sounds like good ideas, Quo. I should, foreseeing nothing comes up, have this game on Tuesday. | |

| Never played Horse but with Madden winding down this would be a great alternative to FPS matches. Count me in. | |

Tell me what you think on payouts. I was thinking $25,000 purse per player, except for the year-end event, which would be $50,000 per player. Then the payouts as follows. I stretched payout over more players to hopefully encourage the "just show up and get some credit" factor.
What do you guys think? Too much, or not enough on the top end? I'd love to hear what Woundup thinks. He'd be the commissioner on this as it was his initial idea.

| I have been playing with numbers a bit Quo, but not sure what I had. When I get more time I will compare your numbers and mine. I have just been bogged down with school lately. I really think this would be great if we can get a few more guys (Peench, Aetherhole)to join in. D_litch also mentioned that Doolz has this game as well. Not sure if any of you guys have had the pleasure to play GOW with him but he is a pretty cool guy. Maybe he will join in as well. | |

Looking at my numbers, you can kinda tell I did the whole thing too fast The last column doesn't make sense... why lower the payout for the winner if you're not going to extend and give more people a portion of the payout? So the last column should add another level of 5% and drop 2nd down to 20%, or 15% and add two players, etc... something, anyway.
I'd be cool to have as many people as we could. Heck, we ought to just leave it open to whoever (from PGL) wants to play, as long as they're signed up and active. The way it's liekly to be set up, you could play as often as you like... if you miss an event, it only costs you the opportunity for a portion of the purse.

| I could be coerced into playing in a running tourney. My only trouble is the time frames. I'm usually not online until 9 p.m. Pacific time because I get the kids ready for bed and stuff before then. | |

Join Date: Sep 2006 Location: Hendersonville, North Carolina Age: 40 | I'm excited about this. Should be easy to track, and fun.
As far as I can tell, these are the people that signed up last time:
1. Woundup
2. DMiller
3. Wood Ghost
4. AZRaiderH8r
5. Crankbait
to that we've added:
6. Quo
7. DLitch
8. Peench (I'll coerce him, he likes it...)
and then these guys have either signed up in the past or mygamertag lists them as having played:
9. Mooseman
10. SuperGSnail
11. SRVjr
12. VidGuy
13. Shibumi
14. Bronxbomber
15. RhinoChaser
16. Lord Geoff
I'm sure there are others who would play, especially since the game's only $30 and can likely be found pretty cheap used. Heck, I bet if we asked Geoff and Sam they probably have a copy or two sitting on their shelves they'd be ready to flip for a quick sale.
It'd be best if we can pick a static night (i.e., 3rd Thursday night of every month, etc.) so we can put it on the PGL calendar. Then we'd need a schedule for what variant we're going to play, or as an alternative we could vote. Hold'em's the bomb, so I'd go for doing that every other time or so for sure.
Let me know when you want to do an announcement and a signup thread and we'll kick this puppy off. I like the easy ones!

Join Date: Sep 2006 Location: Hendersonville, North Carolina Age: 40 | Evidently Razz is some Low hand variant of seven card Stud? I read through that part of the directions last night but it's fuzzy this morning. Yeah, let's stick to holdem early on. We could do variants, but i'm pretty sure they would take a LOT longer... so if we do that we may want to put a time limit on the tourney (say 2 hours?) and just have the rankings at the end of the time limit. Obviously if you bust out before then you're done.
I played this last night for a good bit. It's funny as heck watching yourself toss the chips around. Especially when you bet $30 dollars and your dude stacks up what looks like $10k, counts it out and tosses it on the table-- sometimes leaving no chips in front of you even though you aren't all in.
I'll have to take a pic of the Quo at the table for your viewing pleasure. The options for digi-mask glasses and hats are totally lame! With some effort, this game could have been unreal. Oh well.
On the payouts, I'm cool with pretty much anything... I was just throwing out what they were on Party Poker, adjusted just a hair to account for the smaller crowd. I think roughly 1/2 the field ought to pay, just to keep it interesting for everyone.

| I agree Quo, I cannot understand how someone can make a game as deep as Oblivion for example yet making a decent poker game is so rough. As it stands though, it is the best alternative of all the choices and the price is right.
My fav is the extremely freaky opening during career mode, that is lamer than anything I could of expected on a next gen or last gen console.
I am looking forward t playing it should be a blast.

Did I mention that my head looks like it was sewn on in some freaky frankenstein film? It took me several mintues to figure out that I could adjust my head size. I stood there laughing, thinking, " Look a' the size of tha' boy's 'ed!" (That's my best Mike Myers...) And since you can't see your hands in the skin tone adjustment screen, it's tough to match them to your actual skin color. I played a few tourney's last night with Michael Jordan's hands. They were black and extremely large. Funnnnnny stuff.
I shouldn't gripe... it is the best option out there. I guess I'm spoiled by seeing my dude's mouth move in RB6 when I talk... and honestly, it'll be just as much fun sitting around making fun of the way each other looks as it will to play the game. The game's fun enough that it's definitely $30 worth, despite its oddities.
Does the multiplay run smoothly? I think AZ was asking how long a tourney took. Anyone remember?
