This thread is for the recordkeeping and general smacktalk of the PGL Terrible Dynasties. Quo, Lord Sam, Schlickabod and Snake1399 have taken it upon themselves to play an online dynasty using some of the worst teams in NCAA 09. We want to see how long it takes us to turn them in to powerhouses, win national championships, etc. The idea is to have teams from random, horrible conferences and play with them... avoiding human vs. human games during the season to see if we can play against one another with it all on the line in the National Championship game. Invites to better conferences can be accepted along the way. Anything goes.
This is intended as a very fast moving dynasty setup, so we kept membership down. We've played the first three weeks in 3 days.
Everyone check in and make a brief post that you can edit later and add in your recruiting classes year by year, as well as a history of your ratings, category levels and star levels. After everyone has a post, we'll use the thread to post highlights, talk about recruiting and games, etc. I think this will be a fun, true test of this game and the recruiting function in it.

Reason: update
One of the problems I'm having recruiting at Air Force is that I need sooooo many players. I need 1 FB, 2 WRs, 2 TEs, 1 C, 1 OLB, and 1 MLB. And of course if you need 2 WRs you should have like 6 on your list. I'r fairly positive that I'll fill out those requirements....with 2-star players. I am working on a couple of 3-star players:
3-star DE and a 3-star CB: I'm 1st on both thier lists and they are both coming in on week 6
Geez, I wish I had more to report but I have too many holes to fill!
Here's my soon-to-be Heisman candidate RB after he had broken off a couple of huge runs against them. I think they had had enough. Notice where he got knocked into another dimension in the fetal position! Also, the bunniption while writhing on the ground. Clench that booty! Thank goodness he wasn't hurt.
Unfortunately, my offensive starters had to stay in the whole game because Stanford was just relentless. I was chatting with Quo nervously because they FG'd and closed the deficit to 35-31, then got the ball back with 2:30 to go. We stopped them and were able to get a couple of first downs and run the clock out for a narrow escape.
um yeah, i would say at least twice a quarter my running back is going ass over applecart like your highlight. i cant believe i havent lost anyone to injury yet (knock on my wood)
my offense has been putting points on the board which is good, because my defense cant stop a Pop Warner team right now.
Eastern Michigan University Eagles formerly known as the Hurons
EMU
Strangely enough, my only recruiting need was 1 MLB, after playing 4 weeks with this squad it has become very apparent that it should have read 1 Entire Defense.
Recruiting seems to be moving along. I've got interest from a couple of different guys, but i'm recruiting almost all defense thats for sure.
The Eagles are 3-1, losing a heartbreaker to Michigan St. I also had my hands full with Maryland, winning on a field goal as time ran out....they were a very fast squad, my secondary couldnt keep up
Check out this sequence of events i had 2nd quarter:
EMU- School record 95 yard INT return
Bowling Green- 1st play of next series, 71 yard TD run
EMU- goes 3 and out
EMU- on the ensuing series 52 yard fumble return for a TD
BG- 50 yard field goal to close the 1st half scoring with EMU heading into the locker room with a 17-10 lead.
EMU came out for the 2nd half raring to go and shut down the BG offense the rest of the way. My linebacker had 2 sacks and the INT return to garner player of the game honors. running back had over 100 yard rushing and my TE had about 8 catches for 100 yards. it was a good day to be an Eagle, on to week 7!
Also, it appears as though I am #1 on the list for the top rated DE in the country, we'll see if i can hang onto him or not
As I mentioned, I need to sign 2 WRs this year so I started the season with 7 WRs on my list, all 2-star players. I'm was 1st on like 3 or 4 of them so I've been working with them. Then I see this one guy who has a B+ in speed and an A in acceleration, and his is 6' 4". I hadn't even called him yet so I figured why not. First thing I did was offer him a scholership. Bam! He signed! Never called him once!
And that is the first player to sign with Air Force. I do have a soft commit from the 3-star DE I've been working on.
Gasp! Apparently I lost my star HB for 5 weeks! When did this happen?

Reason: Added Gasp!
Hey guys, after you finish this season up, I'd love to hop in (if you have the room and the community votes me in, of course). Looks like a lot of fun!
Long-time Tulane University head football coach Bob Toledo was fired Tuesday after an abysmal 2-4 start. After Toledo was physically removed from the campus, his replacement Anthony Zimbabwe (A.Z.) Rader was announced in a quick, coup-like press conference that was announced only 10 minutes prior. The entire affair has Tulane students in an uproar.
"He totally sucked as a head coach, but he made major contributions to the quality of the cheerleading here. They may be hookers and crackwhores, but since they're the only thing to look at during games they show up for the attention. At least we had something to look at during games," said one student, spoken under terms of anonymity, "Now who knows what'll happen. If there's real action on the field, fans will actually watch and our cheerleaders will just head back down to the ward to turn tricks..."
The mysterious circumstances surrounding the firing and replacement of Toledo with his son-in-law have sparked a revolt among students, who now call themselves "Rader-Haters".
"If this guy's gonna disrupt a perfectly good party with some football, he better friggin get us to a bowl game. And I mean this year."
Stay tuned for further developments...
Welcome, AZ!
AZ will be our last hire this year, as we have no more open conferences that aren't BCS conferences. He inherits a 2-4 team mid-year. He'll have a slight ratings and conference advantage in the ConfUSA, but he's also behind in the loss column and recruiting. It should all even out in the end. Good Luck, bro!
