How did we let Snake get away with taking Troy, a 2 star program? That already makes him twice as good as the rest of us!

Sam, you'll have a ragin' headache after tonights game.

Now there's a good slogan. I wish I had a decent one for the Blue Raiders... who wear kind of a royal/darkish blue uniform, and play on the ugliest turquoise field (well, endzones anyway... not like Boise State or anything) you've ever seen.

Schlick's FIU "stadium" takes the cake though... I think the high school field that I played on in Texas is bigger than that!!!

These conference-centric leagues look cool as hell! If you guys do this next year, I'll have to play for sure.

To be fair, this would be the best time for me to play in one of these. I'm unemployed, no moneyz for gas so I'm at home all the time, and I'm naked at least 80% of the day most days. I'm just too broke to pick this up.

Maybe Madden, only if I can snag a team that actually has an offense that's not...wait for it...offensive. ZINGER!

For those of you fortunate to have UL-Lafayette on your schedule this year, here is a tip:

Throw the ball.

It doesn't matter if your passes are wobbley, or your guys are slow, or you can't block; your receivers will be wide open.

I eeked out the 23-20 win over Southern Miss with an iced FG at the buzzer, and I barely made it.

The Louisiana schools are representing! I stormed out to a 28-10 lead at Auburn, thanks primarily to some timely turnovers and an 82 yard punt return TD. Just as I was thinking that we might want to up the difficulty level, Auburn came storming back in the 2nd half to get within a touchdown, but thanks to a miraculous bobbled interception returned for a touchdown, UL-Monroe extended the lead to 14 with 2 minutes left. Auburn scored again with 30 seconds left, but Monroe was able to recover the onside kick and run out the clock to preserve a 42-35 win.

It was a tough game, but a lot of fun!

#118 Flaint 48, #15 Kansas 35

Oh, man. This team is a real stinker. I was talking with Quo when I assessed the team, and I was a little excited because the QB and RB had potential...I thought. I seem to remember the RB having high speed numbers. Wrong!!! Peyton Manning could outrun him! Also, I've never played with such a poor OL. Charmin has nothing on my two tackles.

Nevertheless, I lucked out with a win. Kansas passed on me right and left, and kept my heart pounding all game. I never thought I was safe. It didn't help that their last TD pass was on a 4th and 12, and the receiver didn't even come close to landing in bounds. He left the ground at the one, caught it in the air, and came down out of bounds on the other side of the pylon. So much for coach's challenge. The only thing it let me challenge was the spot of the ball for the extra point.

How in the world are we going to lure in a good recruit??? This is going to be fun!

Yeah, that's gonna be the kicker. The real challenge of this league will be figuring out the recruiting puzzle. My team only has 2 attributes that I can generally pitch... my campus atmosphere is "Good" (which actually equates to "Average"), and then there's always Proximity. Of course, sometimes I can toss in a pitch for early playing time because my team stinks so bad. Everything else is rated "Fair" or "Sub Par". Ugh.

I can't wait to see where we all sit in a few seasons.
