Sorry about missing you last night Quo. Somehow my NAT settings are on strict now, and I couldn't get them changed. My IP address kept failing because my gateway was incorrect. Anybody know how I fix that?
Sam advanced the Terrible League, so it must be... so now we all have games to take care of.
i played yesterday before Live went down. what surprised me tho, was the rankings. Central Michigan received votes, even tho we are tied atop the MAC, and I have more points scored. No respect! I think i play them in the last week tho, so we'll see what they're made of...

Your gateway is your router address, I think.
If you're constantly having restricted NAT problems, you may want to try assigning a static IP to you 360.
Quote:
Dynamic vs Static IPs Most routers assign dynamic IP addresses by default. They do this because dynamic ip address networks require no configuration. The end user can simply plug their computer or console in, and their network will work. When ip addresses are assigned dynamically, the router is the one that assigns them. Every time a computer or console reboots it asks the router for an ip address. The router then hands it an ip address that has not already been handed out to another computer or console. This is important to note. When you set your Xbox 360 to a static ip address, the router does not know that the Xbox 360 is using that ip address. So the very same ip address may be handed to another computer or console later, and that will prevent both devices from connecting to the internet. So when you asign a static IP addresses, it's important to assign an IP address that will not be handed out to other devices by the dynamic IP address server. The dynamic IP address server is generally refered to as the dhcp server.
Also, here at the site there's an excellent discussion of opening up the NAT. Check it out here.
In a nutshell, if you have wireless devices or computers coming on and off your home network, your router could be handing out the address (that the 360 thinks it should access) to another machine. When that happens, the nat goes moderate or strict. An easy solution is usually to restart everything if you got everything on UPNP (plug and play). Make sure and wait after unplugging... let everything go dead. Then start up the modem, then the router, then your 360.
Lots of people here are much more knowledgeable about this than me. If you have more trouble, I'd post in that thread and ask for help. Post what router you have and they'll usually help you figure it out.
The game started out great. A couple of long drives, a couple of quick scores, and the game was tied up at 14 at the half. Then the 3rd quarter rolled around and UL-L was still in the locker room as Snake takes the 2nd half kickoff 98 yards for the TD and the 21-14 lead.
UL-Lafayette drives back down the field to tie it up and got down to the 10-yard line when the QB tried to lob it over a Troy defender to an open receiver in the back on the endzone.
Off the defenders hands and right into the receivers hands. Snake said it best, "You know things aren't going your way when that happens." Good game Snake, thanks for not running up the score on my hapless defense!
good stuff and a fun game Sam, frustrating for you i'm sure. My team finally put a complete game together and most importantly the mighty Trojans are now bowl eligible! right now they've got me matched up with Utah who happen to be ranked #26 and are 10-1. That could be ugly, but at least I made a bowl game. 7-5 is a real possibility which i'll take as a success after having Ohio St. and LSU on my schedule!
Nice game! Hopefully BMC is back on before long and we can get ours in. It'll be at least Sunday night for AZ and Schlick too...
Recruiting update:
MTSU announces its first recruit of the season (been MUCH tougher here than in the Terrible):
Willie Williams, a 4*SS with pretty decent cover skills. He was one of my bigger needs, so I'm pleased. I'm very close on a few others, but no commits yet.
