Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: Sterling Heights, MI Age: 39 | #6 LSU 41, #169 Troy 20 The Troy Trojans fall to 0-2 on the season as turnovers once again spelled disaster. The Trojan coach has already adjusted the depth chart for week 3, as the former starting QB, Tanner Jones, decided to throw 5 picks for the 2nd straight game. One of those was returned for a touchdown along with a fumble recovery touchdown for 6 total turnovers. It's hard to win any games with that many turnovers, let alone against a juggernaut like LSU............on to week 3, wonder if i can recruit a QB in September....

On the QB, make sure and set those feet, homey. Make a ton of difference. It'll come around. Thank goodness we all only need 7-8 wins to get bowl eligible (which evidently is the main thing in bringing our programs forward a notch).
I think this year I've got my sights on trying to finish up 9-3 or so. That should get a bowl game and a move up to 2*'s.

oh trust me i took your advice and made sure my feet were planted and it didnt make much of a difference. i noticed another flaw in my qb: accuracy! i threw at least twice to a wide open receiver and the ball didnt go anywhere near em! the #2 guy on the depth chart is a coupla points lower overall, but a few points higher in a few areas like speed and accuracy, so i'm gonna try him. my top guys are all around 75 overall. LSU's were all in the 90's LOL. I was happy to end the first quarter in a scoreless tie. Downhill from there.....

Did AZ or BMC play last night? Any chance we can advance a week tomorrow?

On scholarships, I do it depending on what I'm trying to do. It's good for an attention boost. Some use it to try and push the guy over the top and sign, others use it to get on the board. I tend to do the latter, but to each his own. It can be frustrating and you have to be careful, because you can offer a dude a scholy, then have him sit on you with you being his #3 school, and never get any higher than that. Then you've wasted a lot of resources.
I don't know of a perfect answer.

Here are a couple of links to recruiting tips: This is the one I used last year (I think Quo sent it to me) and this is one I found on the EASports website.

Join Date: Sep 2006 Location: Hendersonville, North Carolina Age: 40 | Another nice win. The conference rolls on... I advanced us to Week 3 before heading in to work this morning.
In news, FIU has a grip on the Sunbelt Player of the Week award. This week it was Julian Reams (sp?), HB, who had 5 TD's and more than 300 yards of total offense in that huge FIU win. Last week FIU grabbed the defensive spotlight. We'll see what Schlick comes up with this week. AZ's ULM Warhawk linebacker grabbed defensive honors with 11 tackles, if memory serves.
Recruiting continues to be a beast. I am seeing more of my recruits that already have at least one of you on their board. In my top 20, only 3 are showing mild interest... nothing fanatical. I guess we'll see what develops this week!
Again, we're shooting for a half week this week. If everyone can try to have their week complete by Monday morning I will advance us to week 4. If something comes up, no biggie, just PM me and tell me to chill.

| In a truly hard fought battle, the ULM Warhawks were able to squeak out a victor over, um, hell, I don't remember who they were, 91-3. It was a nail biter up until the opening kickoff, at which point the mighty Warhawks displayed their dominance.
Seriously, this game was ugly. I wasn't trying to run up the score, but the defense couldn't stop anything. Plus, we intercepted their QB 5 times, 3 of which were run back for touchdowns. It wasn't pretty.

| | PGL Community Vendor | I eeked out a 24-19 win over #15 Illinois the other night and I would have been furious had I lost. Early in the the game when I had a 7-0 lead, the Illini came marching down the field and on a 3rd and goal from the five they threw to his WR on the left who was clearly out of bounds. I mean, not only were his two feet out of bounds when he caught the ball, but he was running out of bounds before he caught the ball. Basically his last six time his feet touched the ground, they were all out of bounds.
The replay booth overturned the call and gave Illinois a TD. The game must have known it cheated me and missed the extra-point. Luckily I held on for the win.
The funny thing is when I went to look at the replay after the game to take a picture of the play (and thus show the injustice of Big Ten officiating), they play was never on the list! It showed the 2nd down incompletion and then the extra point. Conspiracy!!
I asked Quo if I should bring this to his attention as commish of the Sunbelt, and his reply was, "whoa, whoa, I don't want to hear it." So I figured that since Snake1399 is commish of a Big Ten conference I should file my grievence there. Right?

the Big Ten has reviewed the play and admitted the officials on the field called the play incorrectly but have also issued this statement:
"yer screwed" | |
