Yeah. The info's available on each recruit's screen (list of top schools)... so it'll be pretty obvious anyway. I think it even highlights it if another human-controlled school if in the player's top ten. So while we won't know if the human is interested, we'll see if the player if interested in other human-controlled schools.
That's when I start showing the recruits pictures of you with donkeys and midgets...
it doesnt matter much anyways, i'm stocking my team with 19 year olds from the D.R. (who are really 28)
I was just looking at the Sunbelt Conference schedule. Looks like after this week, we won't have another human-human game until week 6.
With that in mind, I'd like to go two weeks per week. Maybe have week 2 run Monday until Thursday, then week 3 be friday-sunday. Then do the same in weeks 4 & 5. Any objections? I'd really like to move it along fast and get on with it to make sure we get at least 2 seasons in by the holidays.

Yeah, right... we'll see about that! So far, no one's impressed with the team that everyone loves to hate.
Oh, and I think you misread that about DeMarcus. (I misread it that way too, and only caught it b/c the last sentence refers to the Trojans (Troy). DeMarcus went to Troy.
They could have used him last night... along those lines, more to follow...
Sunbelt Conference opener... The Battle for the Palladium
The Sunbelt Conference opened conference play last night, with the Troy Trojans visiting the hated Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders in a Rivalry Game (Battle for the Palladium Cup). Conditions were clear and calm. It was a beautiful night, so both defenses decided to celebrate by sitting this game out and having a cold one on the sidelines.
Troy took the opening kickoff and marched about 70 yards for a score in less than 2 minutes, capping the drive with this nice pass up the seam:
Things were rocking. Coach Quo and Coach Snake bantered back and forth about an 81-80 final score. On the next drive, Troy QB T. Jones narrowly avoided the rush and hooked up with his wideout down the left side. A nice block by a teammate opened up a path to the end zone.
After floundering around for a few plays and finishing off the first quarter, the Blue Raiders took to the ground and broke a long one on an option play, again with the shifty Gee (#2) at the center of the action. After a nice spin and two shrugged tackles, Gee found time to hopstep into the endzone.
In what would end up being a long night for Jones, this was the first of 5 interceptions, most coming on the MTSU side of the field. Down by 27 early in the thrid quarter, Troy would mount a comeback, scoring a quick touchdown, followed by a pick-6. In the end the game closed out 55-35 after a long time-killing drive by MTSU in the fourth quarter, followed by a pick in the end zone to seal the victory with around ten seconds left.
Troy:
QB - T. Jones - 25/41, 356 yards. 2 TD, 5 INT
RB - D. Harris - Rush: 9/23, 2 TD
WR - T. Boyd - 7/98
MTSU:
QB - J. Craddock - 22/30, 420 yards. 6 TD, 1 INT
RB - D. Gee - Rush: 14/106 1 TD
Rcv: 10/167 3 TD
WR - A. Ingle - 5/76

Good game Snake! I was amazed at how much time that extra minute per quarter adds. I like it, you don't feel panicked as much. Everyone -- is it just me, or is playing online even slower than it was last year? This was my first game on line and I had trouble adjusting to the much slower speed of the game.
All eyes are on BMC! Everyone else has completed Week 1.
Snake throws 41 times? And Quo puts up 420 in the air? Holy cow, that must have been some game. Nice write up!
I'm a little concerned about the speed issues you mentioned. I haven't played a game online yet, and was really hoping that this year's game would be better. I know that the kicking lag of last year's NCAA and Madden really frustrated me.
The kicking lag didn't seem as bad. To me, it seemed as if they must've put a little work on that and the menu lag, which was my pet peeve. But the game speed itself (the speed of players running) appears to be slower to me. Also, there are cut scenes that seem to take an eternity... you know, when they pan the stadium between plays or between quarters?
And yeah, it was a wild game. I think that's due in good part to the difficulty level. Alot of tackles that should've been made weren't, and there were alot of int's dropped and crazy wide open recievers. Plus an extra 4 minutes of game time. But I think it'll be fun. I don't mind a lot of offense, personally.
When the score was 14-7 (snake was up) I told him "this game is gonna be about turnovers..." because no one was even close to stopping the other guy. Later in the game I think he and I both punted a few times. Neither of us was particularly interested in working the clock (although I did run the ball more in the 3rd).
All in all, I think it's good. We'll end up with some Heisman candidates from the Sunbelt, which will be good for recruiting -- which is what this league is all about anyway. What would be the fun in slogging through season after season of abysmal offensive performances?
Schlick just messaged me. Evidently his dynasty isn't showing up. There's a workaround. Everyone please let me know ASAP if and when you encounter this problem. I think everything's gonna be fine, I just have to re-invite him basically. The problem will be more serious if it's the commish that has the issue.
It would probably be a good idea for everyone to retain their online dynasty file on their own xbox (it asks you if you want a copy of it locally) just so there will be several copies of it.
Also, be SURE not to interrupt the upload of the dynasty file for ANY reason. Evidently this is a problem right now. It's not something that can always be controlled, as getting disconnected from a server (especially an EA server...) isn't always the fault of the servee.
So anyway, yeah, we're getting served by EA. Again. At this point though, I think we're ok.
Hey! This ain't the SEC or PAC-10! This is the Sunbelt Conference, where the slow kids go to play!
No wonder my tight end was wearing earmuffs! That also explains why the Sunshine Scooter inexplicably started yelling "Franks and Beans, Franks and Beans!" when one of Snake's players went down with what looked like some kind of groin injury...
