I'm in guys, but I would love to see a setup that would allow us to do the draft in a night. The draft last year on PGL was fun but took a long time. Thoughts?

Well, we'll probably have to do FNDF (Friday Night Draft Fest). From there, hopefully there will be some kind of rating system for people to pre-rate players for those who can't make FNDF, otherwise we need a different fantasy league system since the one we were on had a lot of reitired players on it. A buddy of mine was on ESPN's stuff and for those who didn't rate player, it used ESPN's ratings as default.

Snake1399, Supafreak, and Causedawg83 all in Season 2!

We bid farewell to SeahawksTD4 and EdM from Season 1 of the PGL Fanstasy Fooball League. Snake1399 is going to fill in EdM's spot in the East with Keezy and Fuze, and Supafreak is going to fill in for SeahawksTD4 in the South with Quo and DLitch.

Causedawg is either going to fill in for Fuze01 (and I haven't heard from him) or he is going to fill in for me. Either way, Causedawg is in!

Here again, is the link to the PGL Fantasy Football site.

I'll fill in for Fuze if he doesn't play, but I'd rather not take your place, Sam.

I was thinking about it the other day, and my other league takes up a lot of my time already, and I'm not sure I have enough time to dedicate for this one too. I would do it (it would be fun), but I'd like to be put on backup status.

I should get fired for losing to AZRaiderH8r in the finals. That was just a terrible performance in the big game of the year. Terrible. No worries about taking my spot if it comes to that, I'd have a good time running the league.

We're making Matt pee in a cup. Obviously he cheated and must be on some kind of performance enhancers, LOL.

Damn funny!

Causedawg in the league!

Causedawg takes over Fuze's team (I never heard back from him) and I guess we are set with our 12 teams, wahoo!

Next order of business is discussing what to do in regards to the draft. For those of you new to this, last year we did the draft through a thread here and out of the 20 rounds we had we got through 9.5 rounds (115 picks) in 29 days (Aug 18th - Sept 15th) before we turned things over to the auto draft. The auto draft was a bit of a mess, as the computer drafted some crazy players for us. But, it was the 2nd half of the draft and it didn't make much of a difference in how the teams turned out.

So, I'm thinking our options are:

Start a draft thread
Pros - plenty of time to think about your picks, draft is easily accessable to everyone
Cons - We'd have to start in early August, might have to turn it over to the auto draft at some point.

Have a draft night
Pros - Three hours and we are done, can be done closer to the start of the season.
Cons - Very difficult to get 12 people together at the same time for 3 hours, one person missing = no draft.

So, what does everyone think?

I personally like the idea of a draft, and either having an autodraft for people who cannot make it, or they can select someone they trust to pick for them. I've drafted for friends in the past, and their team typically does much better than mine.

And I'm not peeing in a cup again dammit!
