| | In the Lobby | OK, I finally remembered to take the memory card OUT of the camera and put it INTO the PC. We actually did these on Saturday, but I'm stoopid and lazy. Main Offender (315,289) Learn To Fly (518,121) Sabotage (404,317)
If I never play Learn To Fly again, it will be too soon. We did that one like 20 times, trying to get everyone in sync.

Join Date: Dec 2007 Location: Atlanta, GA Age: 32 | I have updated the standings. 1. Busted Nachos -- 8,793,247 2. Beastslayers! -- 7,029,331 3. Deeper Kimchi -- 5,657,654 4. Pestilent Discourse -- 5,234,960 5. coolstuffstores.beyaaah! -- 2,954,128 6. The Greene Beans -- 1,924,648 7. Hieneken Guzzlers -- 940,766
There is a close for race for 3rd place between Deep Kimchi and Pestilent Discourse right now. Coolstuff stores is dropping quickly the rankings. Hopefully the band can work out their differences and get the bus back on tour.
Busted Nachos continues their dominant run with the Beastslayers staying in reach.
After week 5, we are going to have two more weeks and then we will have one final week to determine the winners in the upper and lower tiers. Right now most of the bands will be in the upper tier and we will likely have the two member bands in the lower tier.
For weeks 6 and 7 the bands will decide what the songs should be. So check with your bands this week and post your song requests. There are only two rules.
1. The picks must be part of the game, no DLC songs.
2. The picks can't be songs that have already been part of the contest.
So post up your suggestions for Week 6 and Week 7.

| | In the Lobby | Hey, we're not late this week! Foreplay/Long Time (669,373) Paranoid (516,780) Welcome Home (927,888)
So, since this tournament started, I've had numerous instances where I was sure I was hitting notes correctly, but wasn't getting credit. I've taken my guitar apart a dozen times (broken whammy springs, mostly, but I also added some rubber bands to tighten up the strum bar), and as near as I could tell, the contacts for the strum bar were in the correct position, all wires were OK, etc. I put in a couple of small paper shims to increase the sensitivity of the strum bar, but didn't otherwise mess with the electrical bits.
Last night, though, I paid close attention to the strum bar's behavior in the song list. I noticed as I was scrolling down that every now and then it would double-jump songs. I'd strum once, but it would drop two songs down. Other times, if I strummed about half way, it wouldn't register until I let go of the strum bar.
Long story short - I filed the contact points a little bit and it began behaving normally. And what do you know - that long string of notes in Paranoid became much, much easier to carry 4X through.
Man, I wonder how good we might have done the last 4 weeks if the guitar had been working correctly...
