Rock Band - Battle of the Bands Contest
The summer time is here and what better way to start it off than a little Rock Band contest. This is going to be a really simple contest and some of that is due to the limitations of the multiplayer in the game.
The task will be to form a band in the Band World Tour mode that is made up of local players or
for those of you who can't find anyone local you can play over Live with other PGLers. This is a great time to form a band with your family and friends. Anyone can be in the band, but the leader needs to be a member of PGL.
Each week we will have 2-3 songs of the week that each band will play. The goal will be to get the highest score you can on the those songs. At the end of the week there will be a deadline to get your highest score done.
The bands will need to submit a picture of their top scores via this thread on PGL, we will then add up the highest scores for each band and keep a running total. At the end of the contest (4-6 weeks) we will split the bands into two halves based on overall scores. There will be a top and bottom tier. The bands in each tier will all face off one final time, over a two week period. The face off will be based on 4-6 songs and again the top overall score total will win their tier.
There will be prizes for the top bands in the both tiers, plus other giveaways. We are going to give out some prizes for the best band name and also for the best band picture. So be sure to dress up some night and post your band pics.

The prizes include:
- Two $35 gift certificates (enough for 1 set of Quadrant pads + shipping in the US.)
- Four $20 gift certificates (enough for 1 set of 4-color/black/white (white is coming soon; meant for the Wii) pads + shipping in the US.)
- 20% off codes for all other non-winning band leaders (one code per band, though the band members can combine on one order since presumably they live in the same town). This code can't be combined with the PGL offer.
We will officially start the contest
Sunday, June 15th. So all bands will need to have their scores posted by
11pm PST on Sunday, June 22nd.
If there is anyone who isn't sure how to post a picture on PGL, then you can just email (supafreak'at'pregamelobby'dot'com) me your highest scores by the deadline.
Note: Previously we were going to track scores by using the leaderboards in the game. However, there is going to be a little change to the score keeping now due to limitations of the leaderboard system Rock Band uses. They have a cap set to 10,000 scores for songs by bands in the leaderboard. So if your band doesn't score high enough on a song it won't post on the leaderboard if it's not in the top 10k.
Since this is going to be a little contest we need to keep the scores honest. The only way to keep the scores honest is for the bands to post a picture of their high score. So any band playing will need a digital camera. After a song is over there is plenty of time for someone to grab a camera and snap a pic.
If anyone decides they don't want in now then please let me know. We have a great sponsor and some great prizes that we will be annoucing soon so I hope everyone decides to stick with this. I think this is going to be a great contest that will generate a lot of fun for everyone and their family/friends.

For those that haven't unlocked certain or all songs there is a
code you can put in that will unlock them all. You can play the songs with your band in quickplay mode so you can select the songs for the week.

Enter quickly at the "Rock Band" title screen (Press START button is at the bottom of the screen).

Note:
One more clarification, while you can mix up what instruments/difficulty levels band members play, the number of members in a band is set after week two ends on 6/30. So if you have a 3 member band then it's a 3 member band. You can always play a member down if you had to or wanted to. However, for example, you can't add a fourth member if you currently have a 3 member band after 6/30.
