Join Date: Dec 2007 Location: Atlanta, GA Age: 32 | The Sloths went 2 for 4 last night increasing our 1 pt total to a mighty 3 pt total now. The midgets were playing a man down and went 2 for 4 last night also. Since they were a man down they had a .5 bonus so they earned a 3 pts total for the evening.
Up next for the sloths is the dirty sack grabbers. Is anyone on the sloths or sacks up for getting this game in one night before next Friday?

This means the DSGs have an off-week (enjoy it, you cheaters). The MTBs are also off.
Next week, the Chumpy Sloth Zealots vs. the Crusty Kipper Quaffers is the match up, and the Midget Taunting Bullies will go up against the lowest scoring squad, or the Quaffs if it's a tie the week after.

I will plan on being online whether or not I am asked in advance to cover any last minute AWOLs. However, any teams seeking my mad R6V2 skills, should invite me as early as possible to avoid the rush of bids on my greatness. I will go with the first group that asks.

That match was fun. Even as poorly as I felt like I played, the matches were never out of hand, which is very cool. I think i was relatively close to 1:1, just a few kills down. If I remember right only one of the 4 was really a blowout. The other 3 were very close and went down to the wire.
Just a quick note for all teams... we went with the 2 10's and 2 5's setup (length of matches). After playing the first match as a 5, we figured out that maybe that wasn't a good idea. I think the match was scored literally like 3-2. It takes a few minutes to get in to the flow of the first game, and by the time we were getting the hang of it it was already over. The later, longer matches were much better... more intense with a lot more action.
So anyway, just my two cents, but I think it's best if we're going with that format to play a 10 minute match for the first match, then mix it up however we feel.

| I agree Quo I think there was like 1:30 seconds left before any kills in the first match but the 10 minute rounds were great. | | |

I personally like making the first two matches 10 minutes, the last 5 minutes - the squad behind scrambles like a mofo to get kills! The idea of keeping matches short is to keep it from getting old, that's why there's no tiebreakers.
Glad everyone's having fun with this... It'll be interesting to see how things start going once a squad wins 1st tier & the rest try to win the tier they're in.
