hmmmmm, something's fishy here... something's afoot...
I post a request two days ago asking for someone to trade spots with Frodo... there are several potential candidates for the trade including our beloved Mr. Propain and Mr. BMC... it goes strangely unanswered for two days... then when it is announced that a trade is complete and teams are final...
look at the posts above... LO AND BEHOLD. Mr. Propain and Mr. BMC both mysteriously appear and post within a short time period!!!
Mysterious indeed...
Methinks that Mr.'s Propain and BMC didn't to give up there spot in the shadow of Master BLars!!!! They're hoping he'll teach them how to standby! BUSTED. Lol, I'm kidding guys. Heck, who could blame you even if it was true...

nice Quo.. but I'm east coast too, thats why I didn't volunteer. Well maybe blars had a little to do with it
Tourney question for Julie, your Cruise Director (quo).
rules state "Matches will be first to 5 on random map, Execution"
Is it hosts choice? cuz I think when you set it up to cycle, it always starts at gridlock. I could be wrong?.
Reason I ask. It may be tuff to learn all the maps and weapon spawns by Friday. maybe we could all agree on a common map for each round? dunno
In any case you will probably need another 3 digit number and a favorite color from us. 956, green

Hmmm. Great question, thanks for bringing it up. I need a ruling on this from the peanut gallery. What do you guys think? I was not aware of this issue. The maps aren't really randomized? That stinks! If they aren't, then I would say it would be best to choose a map pre-round. Our choices would be to randomize it ourselves, or pick a common one as suggested. My only request would be that we avoid Ascension (or whatever it is with the high and low side and the snipers down low. Ugh.)
Talk amongst yourselves! I'm a little vaklempt. Quote:

Let's hear it. 1) Is there a random setting, or just cycle?
1) do we want to choose a map for each round, or randomize?

Join Date: Sep 2006 Location: Cincinnati, Ohio Age: 24 | This may take some overhead... but maybe the two teams that play can pick a map each round? Splitting it up would be hard, and since the number of matches isn't set, it's hard to make rules for picking maps. Perhaps each team picks 5 maps. Team 1's map is first, Team 2's is second, and so on, until the game is done?
How many maps are there? We could just pick the maps we DONT want to play, and then let the playlist take over. However, the matches could go 9 rounds, so if there are only 9 maps, we might be SOL. If it goes in the same order each time, that might be difficult too.
Perhaps it'd be fair if we all just voted on the maps, and each tourney match had to play on these maps. That way, each match would be equal in terms of environment. YES! Post Count = 10000000000

| I don't think you can do that. I may be wrong (actually happened once) but I think you have to break the room and re-join to do that.
I meant a map a round meaning tournement round 1 map. Everyone plays Mansion the whle first round of the tournement for example.

Join Date: Sep 2006 Location: Hendersonville, North Carolina Age: 40 | Depends on what you guys want to do. Three options i think:
1. Keep the current format and decide on a single map for each round of the tourney. Play first to five, execution. This variety could result in some pretty short matches.
2. Change the format to first to three, but play three maps and the winner is whoever wins two out of the three maps.
3. Change it to first to three and play as many maps (maybe even all) as you want. As long as we play an odd number (are there 9?) you'd have winner on the end. This option could result in some epic battles that take an hour or two to complete. If there's a slaughter going on, it could get ugly for the team on the recieving end.
With any of these options, we've gotta vote on maps for each round.
Geez. Thought we had this thing nailed.

| The host of the game can set the map rotation to however he likes. So I propose that the team captains chat on xbox live to determine what map to play and then one of them host. Set the map rotation to whatever is agreed upon.
So for instance with me being team captain I would state what map I wanted to play to the opposing team captain and set the map rotation to pick that map first. Then the opposing team captain pick a map and I set that as the 2nd map in the rotation and continue that trend until we get to the predetermined number of maps. Just a suggestion.

Join Date: Sep 2006 Location: Cincinnati, Ohio Age: 24 | That's right... now that I think about it. You can clear the map rotation, and then add maps to it. I'm guessing that they stay in the order that you add them. So say the default order is A, B, C... but you drop them all and then add B, C, A... they should stay in BCA order. That would work out pretty well!
Either that, or each Round of the tourney is played on the same map. A mini-decision each time you play, or a huge big decision at the start of the tourney.
[Edit:]The more I think about it, the more I like option 1. That option gives each team a chance to play on a map they are good at. With a tourney-wide vote, some teams will get maps they are good at, and other teams may not.
