Thanks for your research. We've upgraded the site (Thanks to Dmiller, who installed a mod, and to Crippler, who caught a potentially nasty little conflict) and now we should able to post .flv files. There's basically an easy way and a hard way to view them here. The hard way is Brightcove. With Brightcove they have an excellent upload tool, but getting the video viewable is tricky, and I don't know that I'm up for learning how to do it. There's a lot of legwork.
The easy way is for everyone to get a myspace account (free) and upload your .flv video to your video page. You can then embed the video here simply by copying the link from your address bar (NOT THE ONE IN THE VIDEO CODE box or VIDEO URL box on the page) and pasting it into your post. It will start with
http://vids. myspace. com (w/o spaces).
Copy it into your post... PGL's magical behind the scenes guru does the rest of the work, interprets it as a video and shows up like this:
