Oohchit's headset was dead so we played a silent game. Lame! Well, at least he didn't have to hear me complaining about USC, so that's a good thing.
After holding USC to a 3-and-out, West Virginia scored on nifty option play from about 25-yards out. After a USC fumble and and West Virginia punt, USC scored on a lag-filled TD run.
West Virginia ripped off a long run but had to settle for a FG. USC came back down the field and scored a TD on a 3rd-and-13 pass play.
So, as I line up to kick the extra point I turn my attention to writing this update. I look up and suddenly West Virginia has the ball from the extra point. What happened? I forgot to check out the highlights after the game.
West Virginia finishes out the 1st half with a nice drive that ends in a FG, tying the game up at 13-13.
West Virginia throws a pick on the opening possession, looked like he hit the wrong button as the pass was all the way across the field. Two seconds later I get a text message from Oohchit saying "wrong button". USC converts it into a TD for the 20-13 lead.
Another WV pick leads to a USC punt. Which leads to a WV punt and the start of the 4th quarter.
Booty fumbles the ball in the flat and a D-Lineman for WV scoops it up and runs it in for the 20-20 tie.
USC made a pretty good drive and punches one in from the one and the takes the 27-20 lead with 1:42 left in the game.
So, WV comes driving down the field in their hurry-up offense: 8 yard pass, 2 yard pass, 8 yard rrun on 3rd and inches, then the Hella-scramble play:
Had USC got the sack (-18 yards?) I think WV would have been in a really deep hole. Instead WV picks up 2 yards and avoided a 2nd-and-28 situation.
WV connects on a huge pass on 3rd down with just 24 seconds left, and then scores on a TD run with :09 left
OT!
USC has to settle for a FG (I regret the call not to go for it but I ran out of time looking for a better play - then again I could have called a time out). WV gets a quick first down on the first play. USC steps up the next two plays leaving WV with a 3rd-and-10 from about the 14 yard line. One more stop and WV has to settle for a FG. This is the play that unfolds:

It was a good game....I need to stop going into ot but i guess its better that im down and able to come back .My heart was about to pump out of my chest. Here are some more vids...
I Still dont know how i didnt get sacked when you for sure had me for about a 20 yard loss.. I almost gave up on the play because i knew you where going to sack me and then i got a way i just pushed the A button and it happen to be the reciever .
Its crazy how you got your home jersey in your highlights and i have my home jersey on in mine .Its almost like two different games..
Yea, I've seen that before with the different colored jerseys for each of our screens. Pretty neat feature! I almost posted that replay of the "fat boy" on the fumble return, then I thought it was too embarrasing that no one on my team could catch him. That middle highlight was a huge play too, I think it was 3rd-and-long too.
Sorry I have been lagging behind. Kama, I got your message the other day but I wasn't going to be on much longer. Sorry. If you guys see me on, shoot me a message and I will try my best to get my games in!
A Special Friend and I played our game in Norman, OK last night. Unfortunately I'm in a bit of a rush and I didn't jot down stats. A Special Friend, if you have any stats or highlights, feel free to add them to the thread.
It was a pretty good game. I jumped out to a 10-0 lead in the first quarter and OU came back on a 46 yd pass at the start of the second quarter to make it 10-7. The very next play, Brian Brohm found reciever #85 for an 88yd bomb. 17-7 at the half. A field goal by OU and two by Louisville and that was it for the second half. The final was 23-10, Cardinals won.
After three attempts to get the teams together, OSU and Louisville finally met online tonight.
Louisville dominated the game in the first half with two long drives and a INT for a td to go up 21-0 into halftime.
The second half was a coaches worst nightmare as the both teams turned the ball over so many times that we lost track.(OSU Qb threw 5 picks in the game)
OSU finally got on the board in the 3rd quarter with a tight end flat pass that turned into a 82 yard rumble (and it was a rumble if you have seen the size of the OSU TE).Louisville closed out the 3rd quarter with their own long bomb for 65 yard score.
Going into the 4th, OSU just wanted to get the game close for the voters, but when Boeckman hit Hartline for 91 yard TD and then Wells ran a 10 yard sweep in the score, the Buckeyes fan were given some hope at 28-21.
But they hopes quickly faded as Brohm drove the Cardinals down the length of the field to run the game clock down to zero....
Nice game Kaz! I glad we finally got the online game to work.
I know that ohiopro is going to put up some stats for the game, but I just wanted to thank him for a great game. Another great time gaming with PGL'ers.
Not much of a game of stats as both teams only hit field goals in the 1st half to tie the score 3-3 at the popcorn break.
In the second half (as usual in the PGL league games) both teams came out to play. OSU struck first with a 10 play drive that was capped off with a Boeckman to Nicole 12 yard TD pass.
Nebraska punted on their next drive and OSU again took 14 plays and most of the 3rd and 4th quarters to score with another Boeckman and Nicole TD pass.
Nebraska finally got on track late in the 4th quarter with their own TD pass, but it just a little to late.

Well me and kama played our game last night, and well ..... It was a allstart performance by kama. He kicked my tail up and down. I believe he will right up the stats and highlights. But can somebody put a hit on # 85 reciever oh ya also that damn quarterback who went 13-15 427 yrds, 4td, 0 int's and a crazy 413.7 quarterback rating . Great game kama thats the 2nd beatdown you put on me. Good job.
Yeah Oochit, it was a wild one. The tandem of Brian Brohm and my speedy halfback were simply unstoppable. What's funny is, it was a helluva game in the first half. It was 14-0 after the first quarter, but 28-14 at the break. But, everything just went right for the Cardinals and wrong for the Mountaineers in the second half, mainly the fourth quarter. Here's a quick rundown:
1st Quarter
George Stripling (HB #24) for the Cardinals takes it in from 3 yds out, after setting it up himself on a 21 yd rumble. Cards up 7-0. Louisville recovers a fumble in WV territory, but turns it over on downs when getting stuffed on a 4th and 1. The next Cardinal possession, however, Brohm found WR #85 for an 80 TD to go up 14-0.
2nd Quarter
West Virginia strikes back with a 29 yd catch and run TD by WR #2 to cut the lead in half, but Louisville comes back on the next possession and Brohm hits WR #7 on a 20yd pass and he runs 79 more for the TD. The Mountaineers fight back, when TE #88 is found in the back of the endzone for a 24 yd TD pass. 28-14 at the half.
3rd Quarter
Lots of back and forth, with the Cardinals scoring the only TD. Fullback #32 was the scorer this time, another passing TD by Brian Brohm.
4th Quarter
This is where it really got nasty. 3rd and 12 from their own 13yd line, Brohm finds WR#85 again, this time for an 87yd bomb. West Virgina drives down the throat of the Cardinal defense and find themselves facing a 3rd and goal at the 3yd line. Cornerback #6 was playing a shallow zone and picked off the pass. He took it to the house 97 yds back. Then, on two consecutive possessions by Louisville, they attempted to run the clock down. However, Stripling went nuts and found two gaping holes for a 34yd TD and a 45yd TD. It was 56-14 before the Mountaineers got the last touchdown with under a minute left to make it 56-21.
Stats:
Brohm: 13-15, 427, 4, 0 and like Oochit said, a whopping 413.7 QB rating!!!
#5: 17-33, 276, 2, 2
Rushing
#24: 12, 135, 3Td's
#5: 8, 30yds
Receiving
Lou/#85 and #7 combined 8 rec, 282yds, 3TD's
Oh yea....the 2008 NCAA season. I guess we need to get this thing knocked out before 2009 is upon us, which would be mid-July or just about a month from now.
The set-in-stone deadline is July 1st to get as many games finished as we can. At that point we'll do one last coaches poll to see who is where and then we'll line-up the Bowl games (#1 plays #2, #3 plays #4, etc) and then we will be done with 2008!
Got together with A Special Friend for this matchup and we had a blast, mostly making fun of the Bengals, but we did eventually get down to business.
USC took the opening kick and drove down field for a quick 7-0 lead. After a handful of punts USC put together a 12-play drive to make it 14-0. Oklahoma comes back and boots a 51-yard FG (online!!!). After a USC FG with 20 seconds left, Oklahoma runs the kickoff back for a TD making it a 17-10 game at half.
The second half produced a lot of punts and two pick-6's for USC, making the final 38-10, USC.
I had a great time playing with you Special Let's do it again sometime!
Also, it looks like the EASportsworld website has gone through some changes. I don't see where or how to view videos anymore. I think they may have shut things down for 08 in preperation for 09.
